Would you be so kind as to tell us who the other understudies are?
They aren't in the Playbill because, presumably, they didn't hire the understudies until Omicron started wreaking havoc. It's possible that the understudies won't be in the Playbill until next month. Possibly not until February, even, if they missed the deadline for the January printing.
Just received an email that our matinee show for today 12/30 of Moulin Rouge is cancelled. Disappointed that we won’t be able to see this on our trip even though we have touring tickets coming up this summer in LA since we heard the set is amazing. Looks like the evening show is still on. Hope everyone is ok.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I have to assume one of the standbys tested positive and they won't be able to go on for the rest of this week. Holly Ann Butler said she was supposed to play Janice again today, then a few minutes later announced they were cancelled.

I'm a little curious about this. Marika Aubrey had already said today was going to be her last day, but they previously hadn't cancelled this weekend, so presumably they were expecting at least one of the women to come back by Saturday. I wonder if it now seems like no one would be well enough to come back, or if more than one cover tested positive today. Or maybe they had 2 men test positive and now they have no way to cover those roles.
Unfortunately I think this weekend we are going to start to see the consequences of Christmas gatherings. I expect a lot of cancelations over the next few days
Not necessarily Broadway, but the Chase Center in San Francisco just mandated that, beginning Feb 1, 2022, all patrons 12 and over will have to have been fully vaccinated with booster.
Under 12 will need full vaccination or a negative antigen (within 24 hours) or PCR (within 48 hours).
Wonder if this might soon come to Broadway?

Marika Aubrey said "If only ONE female tests positive the show can not proceed. If only TWO males test positive the show cannot proceed." Sadly, they didn't have the numbers on their side to keep going this week.

Just checked telecharge for January - this is not selling!
"
I think any New Yorker that wanted to see this show likely has by now. Don't think they'll get the tourists this winter, so I wonder how much longer the producers will hold on to it.

That's true - January in general is a tough month for Broadway but this January is not looking good for advance ticket sales for many and I bet producers pull the plug and close - TINA, Come from Away, Girl from the North Country and Mrs. Doubtfire.

Come From Away is still really popular. I think producers will keep that show open. The others I definitely see closing, unfortunately. I really loved Mrs. Doubtfire and I hope they do something to preserve it before that happens.
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
