O'Connor as Anita in West Side Story was breathtaking. One wonders what her Spiderwoman would have been like if she took the offer to take over the role after Chita left the London production.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

She makes a GREAT Velma. Saw her on the West End a few years ago and at that point, I had only known her from Moulin Rouge. Her performance was electric...
Caroline OConnor is the only woman I ever saw play Velma live on Broadway and she is absolutely RIDICULOUS live. her voice reverberated off the walls of the Shubert while she was doing all that insane choreography... remarkable.
I've been fortunate to see her as Anita in West Side Story as well as Chicago......she stole the show. Her stage presence is like no other. Those eyes alone radiate to the balcony.
I've never seen her in anything, but those pictures look great.
PS- When I first read the title, all I could think of was Archie Bunker.
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
I didnt know she had been in Chicago in London I probably would have gone. I've only ever seen her in Mack n Mable in London. I'd never heard of her before and she left me speechless. Think she would be a great Norma Desmond.
Saw her in the Broadway company of CHICAGO and was blown away!! I have a few of her solo albums too. In addition, I was lucky enough to meet her and her funny hubby at the stage door one night. Very gracious couple.
I saw this show during its initial previews in Brisbane. Needless to say, I had just gotten off a plane, having come home from being with a touring show myself and found myself downing a drink or two in the foyer before the show started. What can I say? It was a HOOT! Caroline was really quite sublime, and being just that little bit intoxicated, I felt the need to yell out several affectionate compliments of explicit nature to her, however, I reserved to just licking my lips instead. In contrast to the rest of the cast, she just seems old, but my, I didn't give a damn. I had the best of both worlds - a young, capable, sexy, steamy ensemble (Fred Casely, you can take me any day; I was sweating in my seat!) with a powerhouse performance queen who deserves a bigger name than she will ever get. Unfortunately, I will have to put my shoes under Sharon Millerchip's bed though. She stole the show like thunder. AMAZING. Perhaps it's simply because I knew what goods to expect of O'Connor, but Millerchip surprised me in such a way, that I couldn't help but eat up her performance - I honestly couldn't imagine the role played any other way now. O'Connor + Millerchip + Chicago = heaven of a new kind.
I was fortunate to see the previous revival. Caroline O'Connor blew that cast off the stage. She had such a stunning presence. I'm glad that in Sharon Millerchip they have found an equal for her. I must grab some tickets for the Melbourne run.
O'Connor is a favorite, though. She was marvelous in the MTC production of Bombshells a few years ago. We rarely give a standing o down here. Her performance in that one-hander certainly brought the audience to its feet.
