Shocked by her passing. May her memory be a blessing.

so sad! such a great comedic legend - RIP
Nobody ever did it better. Rest in Paradise, you absolute legend.
I am extremely saddened to see this.
Moira Rose is one of the greatest characterizations in television history.
As a teenager, I was totally devoted to SCTV.
She and Andrea Martin did a spoof of The Miracle Worker called Gangway for a Miracle.
If you've never seen it, find it.
I read it was after a brief illness. The article didn't say more than that about the illness. I think it was the Deadline article.

Loved her in "Schitt's Creek" and I actually forgot she was in "Home Alone" movies until I watched them again last December. RIP.
When the truly unique ones leave us it just hits harder. How lucky were we to be here when she was???

I just hope that she knew how much joy she brought to so many. RIP
This is unbearable. What a dreadful month.
She was unique.
She was brilliant.
She was quite frankly one of the funniest ladies of our time.
She will be missed.
Thank you Ms O'Hara for all the laughs and the joy you gave me.
Rest in Peace.

RIP. She got us all through our teen years and the pandemic.

And then she surprised me by her dramatic turn in the Last of Us in which she was utterly brilliant. I didn’t anticipate that she had such range. I am bereft that we will never see what she might have done over the next decade or two.
This is the most devastating celebrity death for me since maybe Carrie Fisher. O’Hara seemed like somebody who had another two decades left of inedible work ahead of her and she was enjoying such a remarkable career high in recent years. We are so fortunate to have so many incredible and iconic performances as her legacy.
For me, everything she was in just made it that much better. You can't say that about a lot of people.
Now it's time to binge Schitt's Creek all over again...

I'm really quiet surprised to realize in a 50 year career she never appeared on Broadway in a production, did she do any stage work outside of her time at Second City?
