Essentially, except for a few gaps here and there, she has been Velma Kelly fairly continuouslly since April 4, 2011 (almost 4 years).
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
This is Jennifer Nettles "Hart and Soul": Episode 7: "Chicago Cares" Episode 7

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
it simply comes down to the fact that she's simply walking through the show just for the paycheck. There's no passion, no energy, no fire. I could name a dozen replacements better than AFW, but for whatever reasons, the Weisslers' continue to bring her back instead of bringing in someone new. Wish I could have seen Hughes in the role, and was hoping she'd extend into April at least.

The only things that piqued my interest about returning to see Chicago (I saw it in 1997) were Jennifer Nettles and Carly Hughes. I would have seen them when I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago, but the last snow we had delayed my trip for a day, and my Saturday show schedule was screwed up as a result. Too bad they weren't in the show longer as I heard wonderful things about both of them.
Hey Dottie!
Did your colleagues enjoy the cake even though your cat decided to sit on it? ~GuyfromGermany
I love this gal. She is just "darling"! This is Jennifer Nettles final "Hart and Soul" Episode 8. Jennifer is so darn down to earth and likeable. At the end, she says:"Peace... I've got to murder somebody." Episode 8

This is a radio interview conducted by WMAC Northeast Public Radio (Albany, NY?). The interviewee is Jacob Keith Watson..."Amos" in the current national tour of "Chicago". He mentions that the tour cast jokes that Roxie is like Kim Kardashian...doing anything for fame.

If you have a chance to see Paige Davis as "Roxie", please post your thoughts about her performance. I love her video with Brenda Braxton.

I saw the tour this past weekend. The show was great, but then again, is it ever NOT great? This production is seriously one of the sexiest and sleekest productions in history. It has the sheen and cut of a sharp diamond. It's timeless. It was my fifth time seeing the show live, and I loved it just as much. It was also my third time seeing Terra C Macleod who was a spectacular Velma, as always.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "
Did you see it with Bianca Marroquin or Dylis Croman?

I had a fabulous time with "Chicago" in Fort Worth. I attended the shows on Friday, April 3, 2015 and the 1:30 p.m. show the next day. Dylis Croman was amazing as Roxie. She was dazzling and charming in her interpretation. Terra C remains the quintessential Velma. Christophe Caballero was on as Mary Sunshine. He reminded me of Molly Ringwald. The entire ensemble was fantastic. Last pic is Jacob Watson as Amos. There's an addition to the tour: Reno, Nevada from April 21-26. There were "whispers" of a South Korean stop (of a couple of months) during the summer.

since AFW has done the show in Korea, maybe she'll join the tour for a few months this summer when (and if) it goes to Korea.

Actually AFW did the show in Japan, not South Korea. I'm assuming that Terra C will remain as Velma for the S. Korean stop (presumably Seoul), as she has done the current tour since September, with the same troupe. It's not so clear with regards to the person to play Roxie. They might get an American like Dylis Croman or have a home town Seoul girl for that role.

They both gave great performances. I wouldn't say either performance had a great deal of depth or character but they were both fun. The production definitely shows its age at times but at some point you just sit back and enjoy the music. Natasha Yvette Williams and the actor playing Billy Flynn were also great.

Brandy is bringing such great energy to CHICAGO. She looks & sounds amazing. Such a shame she's performing opposite AFW.

I hope that this long-running concert production won't preclude seeing a fully realized production down the road. While it has been a cash cow for the Weisslers, Bobbie et al., low weekly nut and all, I would still welcome a real production at some point.
Today marks the end of the current Chicago Cellblock Tour (Sept. 2014--April 2015). I had the pleasure of seeing the show twice in San Antonio and twice in Fort Worth. They're an awesomely talented cast! With Dylis Croman (Roxie) and 2nd pic: Terra C (Velma). I didn't realize that there were similar pics in a previous post. My bad.

The South Korean leg of the Cellblock Tour will begin sometime in June. Some of the current tour cast will go to Seoul, while new ones will be joining them. As I understand it, it is about a 2 months long sitdown stop.

I've listened to the version she did on the morning show as well as the one she posted with all the riffs and while they're both good, I wish they would allow Brandy to put more of her own spin on her songs in the show. If they're going to keep casting singers from genres outside of Broadway I'd like to see what they can add.
For the two month Seoul, South Korea tour stop starting in June 2015, I'm assuming that Terra C will continue as Velma Kelly. Dylis Croman is a definite as Roxie Hart.
