One matinee and one evening. They're both worth it!

I'm pretty sure that rush for Company is only for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday performances, so you'll have to see Spring Awakening if you're planning on rushing.

They're like Day and Night, but I have to say Company. Raul Esparza is giving a brilliant performance.

I would say Spring Awakening. It needs all the ticket sales it can get if we want it to succeed.

I have several names, one is Julian2. I am also The Opps Girl. But cross me, and I become Bitch Dooku!

The thing is, we're talking about this year's Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical. Do them both in one day!

Both!

Honestly I enjoyed Company more after seeing it, but Spring Awakening has sort of become my new obsession of late (mostly due to the cast recording).

Spring Awakening

Copmany is good, but Spring Awakening really is a new piece of revolutionary theatre, and deserves to be seen.

thats EXACTLY the dillema I was in too, except it made it easier because I had to find something that would have a matinee on the friday durring the holidays, and company didn't, so it was automatically narrowed down Spring Awakening re: Company or Spring Awakening? I am dying to see company and I'm sure its amazing, but I CAN tell you that Spring Awakening was one of the best, most memorable theater experiences I've ever had. It was absolutely incredible, and especially if you're a teenager or young adult, you'll probably really really enjoy it.

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

For what it's worth, I have seen both and as good, new and innovative as Spring Awakening is,, I think Company is lightyears more brilliant, so if I had to take a shot in the dark, I'd suggest it first with my highest recommendation.

However, this is hard because they're kind of... not remotely comparable. And it's always hard to make recommendations when people just throw out two names of shows. Tell us what other shows you like, or what your tastes are. Otherwise, how are we supposed to help you based on our own opinions of two shows that are like night and day? They are both great and "deserve" to be seen, but are so radically different.

Company is far superior to Spring Awakening.

I had the same dilemma and I tried the same approach by posting a board asking for help. But there are so many different opinions that it doesn't really help that much, especially with shows that are so different from each other. But, I chose company so good luck to you!

My personal recommendation would be Company, but both shows are worth seeing. I found Spring Awakening entertaining but was left all but completely cold by it on an emotional level, especially by comparison, but I've read other people saying the same thing about Company. It really depends on your tastes. Spring Awakening has a knockout score, interesting structure and several good performances by newcomers. Company is an innovatively-staged production of a theater classic and boasts that amazing score and a star-making performance by Raúl Esparza. If nothing else, I would go by which subject matter you feel will more affect you. Updated On: 1/1/07 at 09:40 PM

I loved both of them but Spring Awakening is far superior in my opinion.
