American Idol was just in Birmingham and I'm glad I didn't audition. It's such a career killer, unless of course you're Kelly Clarkson, but she's been the only one capable of success.

I like Constantine. I *LOVE* THE WEDDING SINGER. I'm sure he can pull it off. Guess we'll see.

How can the producers actually think that this guy would raise ticket sales by at least $50-75k a week, which is probably what they would need to break even at this point?

The show is losing money by the second. Wouldn't they be cheaper to close it than have to pay off Saldivar's contract and pay Constantine, too?

it just really makes me mad that they're doing THIS instead of doing some stunt casting that would actually help out the show. Heck, I'd almost WELCOME hilary duff (for a VERY limited time) at this point just so that show would at least stay OPEN! then laura can come back and do her thang haha. But yeah.. seriously, I'd WELCOME it.. but not this. because it's not gonna help AND I really really like Matt

I like Constantine and I'm glad he still wants to do theatre, since that's what he went to school for, but I want him to stay FAR away from Wedding Singer.

It's not like the Wedding Singer is Shakespeare. I'm sure he can handle it, it just seems pointless though. I'll have to wait for an actual article about this.

I used to love constantine. not so much after he sucked eggs as roger in rent. he actually has a good voice if he would use it.

he made me sad as roger because being in a metal band you would think he would rock his voice out for roger..but instead he was all whiny.

he annoys me not. but eh, i won't judge until i see it..oops too late.

I don't see him as robby though. maybe goerge. because i'm guessing they don't need goerge to be a certain look since a black guy is understudying him.

i would love to see him as holly lol

He needs to stay AS FAR AWAY from the stage as possible. I saw him as Roger in the touring company of RENT and he ruined the part so bad! I actually wanted to throw something at him everytime he opened his mouth!

The Wedding Singer seems in financial trouble, so the stunt casting may be a good thing. The American Idol machine is huge and he was pretty popular. They will get a lot of kids. Saldivar was great in the role, guess the producers have to decide what they think will be the shot in the arm this show needs. Better be quick because the idols fade fast! Justin Guarini are you out there?

Constantine who? Just what Broadway needs. Another game show contestant given a role in a show. Ugh! If it's true, I hope it doesn't work and that the show folds! I am tired of seeing this kind of thing.

He's terrible, he'd be out of place with that talented cast. The role of "Robbie Hart" should be played by an actor who can sing, not a wannabe rock star/American Idol loser. UGH.

Oh yes thank you, what I should of said is that SAMMY should not be played by a wannabe rockstar/Idol loser, none of the roles in the show should be, ugh.
