My favorite new show of the 2025 season. Hopefully it will tour. It deserves to be seen.

Was going to attempt their rush today but after hearing what a zoo it was yesterday, I opted not to go.

Saw it for a second and sadly final time last week. It was a raucous and worthy farewell tour atmosphere.
Still my new favorite musical of the season (Saw Mincemeat in London otherwise most likely tied).
I wish we had gotten the full cast album before this last performance, but at least we have what we've gotten so far- particularly Julia Knitel's "A Stranger," which has fast become one of my favorite showtunes in recent memory.

I think this will be produced a lot on smaller regional theaters and summer stock theaters
The fact that they've only released half the cast album is so bizarre.

If Here Lies Love can open in LA for the CTG 2026 season then I have hope DO, RWHC and Boop can do the same. Maybe tour at least big cities.
Seems like there was a speech today after the show (couldn't tell who though), followed by an encore performance of "Killed a Man in Maine."
They went out with a bang.

Looks like the full Audible recording will now release on July 17!

That's great and I look forward to it -- but dang, too little, too late.

I can’t help but think that this is going to work much better for me in this form. When I saw Ghost Quartet in Green-Wood cemetery last week I kept thinking that that was how Dead Outlaw should’ve been presented and I would’ve loved it.
i only hope that this is IN ADDITION TO releasing a full cast recording (or at the very least part 2....) and not INSTEAD OF

my understanding is that this is separate from the complete cast recording and that Part 2 of the Original Cast Recording will indeed be released as planned and probably soon

And he hinted possibly something else upcoming for the show...

London? It’s very American but maybe someplace like the Young Vic.
Could also be a quick pivot to licensing. I’d be shocked if it toured. Small to midsized theatres around the country will enjoy doing it, even if it’s never a licensing bonanza.

Correct. Looking forward to it. Shame this show didn't land but I feel they didn't do enough advertising or promotions from the very beginning. Great reviews, audiences loved it who attended, great music. But, sometimes it just doesn't work out for whatever reason. This will do well regionally and at breweries across America :)

Capital is being raised right now for a short tour, according to a friend from a recent conference. I wonder if things are coming into fruition.
