DEATH BECOMES HER To Close on Broadway June 28, 2026 — Page 4

I’ve heard Rachel York is playing Helen for the tour.

Nicole Parker was also allegedly joining the cast on Broadway before it announced closing. Wouldn’t be surprised if she and York end up leading the tour. Those are decent “names” as far as theater fans are concerned. Even if they don’t help the box office much, verbiage such as “led by Broadway veteran leading ladies…” will look good in local press pieces.

Nicole seems like such an obvious choice! I’m mad I didn't think of her. If she’s the tour Helen, I’ll be happy to see her!

I’m curious as to who the west end ladies will be….

It's time for you to stop being an insufferable troll

Oh no, this is so sad to hear! I was lucky enough to catch it last month and I absolutely loved it. The practical effects with the holes in the bodies and the twisted necks looked incredible live, and the musical numbers had so much energy. Honestly, I thought the spark was definitely there, but Broadway is just so oversaturated right now and audiences seem hesitant to risk it on newer adaptations over the established classics. It feels like the show was totally underrated and just lacked a strong marketing push on social media. Such a bummer for this season.

Over on theatreboard, posters are saying the London run has been cancelled due to the producers losing so much money on Broadway. Anyone know about this?

Holy AI faces. These look like Sardi's caricatures — and that's not a compliment.

Not AI, it's by artist Mark Stutzman, who did the 1999 Annie Get Your Gun art among others.

Not everything is AI....

It may not be AI, but it does look like mid-tier fan art and is far beneath the quality of marketing visuals the production has had thus far.
