It got to the point where I had to turn the sound off because the music is so annoying...
Hopefully they begin them shortly.

I'd rather see the empty stage then listen to this. Plus my computer kicks me off at 10:30 so I want to see as much as I can.

This music is really bad and I have no finger nails left. Maybe they will begin a fashionable 15 mins. late. Stop the music...

you'd think that with an audience of a bunch of musical obsessed people they'd have a little better music than this.

If they play that Toyland music one more time I may take out a hatchet and do some serious harm.

Why don't they just play music from the shows? a)It would make sense and b)it's so much better (no pun intended at all) and this is really getting on my nerves.
I love how in the last 5 minutes we've managed to add another two pages to this thread.

I'd completely settle for watching people sit in their seats at this point. It'd be a lot better than this music.

That cheery little flute solo is so enlightening...

It would be nice if they'd play something from the nominated shows or something... I feel like at trapped in a circus elevator...
Call the understudy / I can't go on tonight / I'm drinking with my buddy / I'm getting good and tight / Before they raise the curtain I'll be higher than a kite / So call the understudy
I can't go on tonight

They should just cut the music.....the blue screen message is enough to look at while waiting.

It will start shortly. I am listening on XM Radio as well, and apparently the head of Drama Desk just came on to welcome everyone and give a speech. They said the show with Kristin hosting will start shortly.

Thats it. I'm watching Family Guy.
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

I remember last year we got to watch them giving their boring speeches. Anything is better than this.
