Ya no kidding! I have a lot of interest in this now. Rockwell and Fishburne were good enough for a sell but Criss makes this a 100% purchase on my end. Play sounds just interesting enough for me

Interesting! Does this mean the rumored KPOP isn't happening this season?"
Considering both KPOP and The Wrong Man would have fit best there, it’s safe to say they may not come in this season, though KPOP could have had a better chance based on Wrong Man’s reviews
American Buffalo was originally announced for the Golden, which means that it is now available again. Of course there is the possibility of Slave Play extending way way past it's limited engagement in mid January.
Has anyone here seen this play before? Knowing nothing about it, I just read the synopsis on Wikipedia, and it doesn't sound very interesting to me. Is there something special about it that doesn't come through in the synopsis?

"Michael Riedel...The Perez Hilton of the New York Theatre scene" - Craig Hepworth, What's On Stage
Do you like Mamet? I don’t. I’ve seen enough of his stuff to know it’s not really for me. Lots of cursing and masculinity and not a lot of interesting plotting. But I’ve never seen this particular show.
Criss seems miscast in this, at least to me. He skews a bit on the older side and comes across as too clean-cut/wholesome. Of course, that worked for him when he successfully played against type in the Versace TV movie so who knows.... This play is not a particular favorite of mine but the casting is intriguing.
I agree that the play itself isn't very appealing, but the cast is intriguing. I would love to see Fishburne again, and I've never seen Rockwell and Criss on stage. I saw the American Buffalo revival about 10-12 years ago with Cedric the Entertainer, John Lequizamo, and the kid from Sixth Sense. As good as Cedric and Lequizamo were, the play was a snoozefest, so I'm really torn about whether I should get tickets to this production. I really wish Rockwell and Criss found a different vehicle to come back to Broadway.
not sure this is really a great fit - the character is supposed to be a bit dumb and dull- and don't see Criss as a push over- should be a younger actor too- best of luck to them

Was it ever officially announced for the Golden? I believe that was just a rumor floating around here.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

okay...to be honest...as soon as it was announced I immediately went to see if tickets were on sale yet, and when they weren't, signed up to get alerts for when they DO go on sale.. I'm such a dork.
