YES YES YES!!!

Ben Platt was 20 when he started as Evan. Did he say anything awful or judge someone harshly for no reason or tell the interviewer someone is a pedophile? In an interview? No? Great, then take a seat. Most people in their 20's don't say horrifying sh!t when they know they are being INTERVIEWED. What an idiot. People already bought their tickets, so they will be seeing a bad actor play a complex part. Have fun supporting a total loser.

wow, give it a rest. post after post going after this kid WHO DID APOLOGIZE. Isn't there some phantom who actually did something that you can rally against?

You are right, I'm not done. I rescind that statement because I unfortunately have to defend myself (?) against actual humans who think this kid gets a free pass because he (his publicist/assistant) ..............apologized.

Nah, I'm well rested and I'll say what I want. "Ignore user" button. Im sure it will be useful for you.
Oh God! It's like the Tasmanian Devil of Righteous Indignation! Delicious!
Methinks you need a way better barometer for 'horrifying sh*t.'

Galvin sounds like a real jerk and someone who I wouldn't want to hang out with. That being said, I'm sure a lot of actors are so it wouldn't affect my decision. I won't see DEH again without Platt because I'm horribly in debt and would rather see other things.

I don't care what you think dude, see this idiot every day he plays Evan. Have fun.
And yes comets, he IS a real jerk.

Err, can't be horribly in debt or else you'd skip the other things, too.

If Patti Lupone said any of that (and of course she says crass/brash things) you'd all be wetting your pants with pride and enthusiasm.

Yeah no. Sorry.
Oh dear youngster...I care not to see this show again. Once was enough. But I'll never tire of your high dudgeon attitude about this and everything. It's way more entertaining than most Broadway musicals these days!

Do you think insulting three people in an interview is an unforgivable offense? Should someone who insults three people be regarded as a pariah forever?
What would you consider an offense that is serious but forgivable?

Happy to hear it! Thanks so much for reading! Have the BEST day!
It keeps getting better and better, thanks!
Hint to others: It really helps the narrative when you read each of the posts as if Annette Bening as Carolyn Burnham in American Beauty. She WILL sell this house today!
Says Margo: "I would never...insult an actor I do not know..."
Honey, you just did.
^ And for those of you playing along at home, it's best to hear the above line with a slight Megan Mullaley lilt!
LOL - that's exactly how I was trying to play it.
Your intention was clear and spot on! You're really benefiting from our weekly scene studies!

I think I just peed a little! HAHA!!!
No an apology isn't a magical cure all. And you don't even need to accept his apology, you don't even need to like him, or think he is genuine or sincere. But making an apology at least shows that you understand that you did something wrong. At the end of the day even if your favorite celebrity never says anything unkind or bad that doesn't mean they are perfect.
i won't be seeing the show with Noah but I am excited about Taylor and may purchase an early spring ticket to see his take on the role.

Hey! Give me back my baby!
Trensch is lucky that all the attention is focuaed away from what an awful casting choice he is to play a 16 year old.
