Where is it going to play since it kind of needs to complete transform a theater for its production?
The Booth was just renovated so there is no way the Shuberts will allow Fella to destroy it...
Lyceum...is not in the best of locations...
Longacre...has too small a stage
Golden...way to small
The only theaters I can see Fella playing are the Neil Simon and Lunt Fontanne..both of which have shows whose producers are in denial...
I do think the show would probably fit into the Circle in the Square nicely...though it was never meant to be in the round...I think if they set the Circle up in its thrust set up ..it could work.

I'm guessing a Jujamcyn theatre since that's where it was before... Hirschfeld?
the Hirschfeld could work since it did well for Hair..which was done in a very similar style, though there is no way the show will make any money...what does 2 yrs do to a show's demand...nothing. The Hair summer run learned the the hard way, and that actually won a major award and is considered a classic.
I think it's smart though. I don't see why more people don't put up shows for the summer. It's when all the tourists are in town.
And it's the touring production, so I doubt they'll transform the whole theater.
I don't think it's smart at all. It didn't find an audience the first time, and it's not as though the show is a well known property. What makes them think they will find an audience this time?
do they really think this will sell the second time around??

Im in for another go round.
I love this show and hope it is true!
It isd ridiculously successful. I know someone in the tour, and it just keeps getting extended!

I was terribly bored by this show though fascinated by the real Fela's story. Just not my cup-of-tea, I guess
Its Officially playing the Hirschfeld from July 9-August 4th....
Fella at the Hirschfeld
Again... WHHHYYYYY?
And it's coming back to LA this season...
Again, WHY?
And the tour does not tranform the entire theatre, it's all kept on the stage.
well, it's only for four weeks, so it might actually sell somewhat well. Who knows, maybe next summer the tour of Leap of Faith will come back for a limited run.

^ LOF is definitely not touring.
yea but leap of Faith never really had time to find a audience...Fella ran for over a year...

WHY?! I'd rather have H2$ back, Idc if it was losing money.
I understand they want to have a show in the theatre for the summer, but why this?

Follies would have been a better choice
Yeah, because the last time FOLLIES was in New York was way too long ago...
I'm excited for this. I liked it enough. It should have won the Tony.
