yeah yankee - i had the same question...
what show is it?
Right, and I'm still taking classes in acting and dance and voice, but I feel like getting a degree in education will put me in a position to at least have some sort of an income, and still pursue my passion.
And I'm not opposed to teaching.

so ms. walker browne , is that what Jonathan intended?
fredi- you should return to broadway. I'd love to see you perform. You're crazily talented.
My show?? It's just a touring group that sings and dances 15-20 people..
In case anyone is interested, here is the link to my thread which includes my dream cast for SISTER ACT: The Musical...starring Fredi, of course.
And, yes Fredi, I would assume with Menken behind it, the show would have plans for Broadway.

Ohhhhhhh, Onelastrefrain, I get what you're saying. The entire story of Rent is what Mark shot for his documentary...that's like...deep, man. haha. Very insightful and interesting to look at it from that way. I never though of it like that before.

Wait--that's actually what the concept IS? I need to think about this...
Actually it makes sense what with his narration weaving in and out. I read the trials that Larson went through regarding the story (having it start at Angel's death etc), but I don't remember reading about that. It does make sense though. Although, how can it be his filming if he is with his camera the whole time? Although now it makes sense--he is filimg the movie the whole time. Wow--way to think that out in a post.

good training is ALWAYS NECCESSARY (sp?)
FOR YOUR ENTIRE CAREER!!!
You never stop training altogether - you may take breaks from classes or whatever - but you will always find a way to refresh yourself through seminars, workshops whatever...
but a degree means nothing unless you want to teach.

i'll send a group email to all of you who pm'd me and we will discuss what's best for us to do..
definitely in the city - central for all
weekend? - we'll see what's best..
should be fun!
I'm not sure if thats what Jonathan intended..but its cool that it can work both ways--maybe it's like the whole "i like boys, boys like me" line. hehe..we'll never know.
wow fredi, i'm more excited than i've ever been..EVER. I hope i'm allowed to go. This will be interesting convincing my parents.

I wish you could come and tell that to the kids here, who seem to feel that since they will be graduating with a degree in Musical Theater from Ithaca College that they will all be big stars right away. We need more people like you coming to talk some sense into us.
I reiterate: You're a cool cat.
