Becky--being a teacher I also have a whole list of "never" names on the baby name list...too many associations!
Isn't it the truth?! There was actually a little boy (with a rather long wrap sheet in the office already!) moving up through the grade levels with the boy's name I always wanted to use. I seriously was thinking, "please don't ruin that name for me!!"

My name is Rachel also and would you believe, people spell it with an extra 'a' all the time. I've gotten called Rebecca a lot as well. And my parents gave us all names ending in 'el' so when you're yelling it from the top of the stairs, you totally can't hear which kid is in trouble.

It's rough finding things... almost everything says 'Rachel' BAH! I do have a few things though, and even though I'm 21... if I see something that has it spelled correctly, I buy it!
Maybe that's because Rachel is the right way to spell it? :) Just kidding..I'm obviously biased, since I'm named Rachel.
