Hey guys, I'm sure you all heard the news about the show closing. Unfortunately, I was planning to see it during Thanksgiving break since I don't live near New York and I wouldn't be on the East Coast until August for school. Problem is I will be in MA for school and the only time I can probably get there is September 3rd, the closing date. I was planning to rush, but I don't know if there usually are rush tickets left for a closing date and I was wondering since you guys have more experience with this, if you think I would be able to get tickets for that date. I don't want to take the four hour trip and miss the show, so what do you think? If money wasn't an object, I would guarantee myself a seat and buy one online, but you know how it is...
Any advice is appreciated!

I'm in largely the same place as MalikOfDarkness (I'm even coming from MA!). I want to rush the final performance, a 3pm matinee, meaning the box office opens at 12. Does anyone know what time I'll need to get there to be first in line, it being the final performance and all? With it being a matinee and the box office not opening until later, I was thinking maybe somewhere from 5-6? I don't know though, shows closing is something I've never dealt with before so I have no idea how many people will be looking to rush.
Also, does anyone know if they're giving stage seats out at rush? Some places I've heard that they reserve two stage seats for rush, but I've heard many things that go against that. Further, does anyone know if the quantity and/or quality of rush tickets will change because it's the final show (i.e. if I am first in line, will I be able to get those two onstage seats )?

Rushing for closing day is extremely dangerous. I would not risk it at all if that's your only chance to see the show. Go buy a $39 mezzanine seat.
As far as stage seats go, yes there is one table included in rush. It's the far house left one right by the bar. I rushed and sat there and it was extremely obstructed and probably my least favorite seat I've had for the show

First time I went I sat on stage (Pierre's Salom). Second time I sat rear mezz. I realized that by sitting on stage I missed 75% of the show. There's a lot going on in the mezz too. Don't risk it, buy a mezz seat.

I would like to explain my rush experience. I happened to rush yesterday and arrived around 4:30 am, we were 8 and 9 in line (bc it was a Wednesday we were 6 and 7). We rushed for the 8'o clock show and happened to get far left front row and far right front row. Both seats were obstructed but fun nonetheless. I would recommend getting out as early as possible. The people in front of us got seats onstage for the same showtime. I hope you guys happen to get seats before it closes!!
I personally asked the box office what time people start lining up, now that the show is closing people have begun lining up at midnight...

That sounds like an excessive amount of optimism for a show that only had four tickets available yesterday.

Right! I can't believe the people toward the end even bothered staying. No one left. Not sure how many actually made it in, as I was toward the front of the line. BUTI can guarantee it was not the whole 58 people lol.
Just an update for those interested. It's Tuesday and raining so this may be a factor, but I got here around 4:45 and was first in line. The second person got here around 5 and the third shortly after. I was shocked to be first but the weather may be a factor. Hope this is helpful!

On rainy days it pays to be in the front so as to stay dry throughout underneath the marquee.

Every day has rush so there's daily success.
How many tickets on Saturday do you need? Either show?
How early can you arrive?
I rushed yesterday for the evening show. Got there a little at about 9:15, and there was a very long line, at least 30 or so, and they could each get 2 tickets. I don't know how many people went for the matinee vs. the evening, but we were able to get 2 rush tickets in the orchestra. It seems like at this point, they are just selling any open seats for rush price to fill them. Good luck!
I just need two tickets for the evening show. I can get there as early as I need to, but I'm worried that with the closing notice and the lack of available tickets for sale on Ticketmaster I wont be able to see the show again. Just wondering if people have had luck getting tickets.

To dissuade your worries just get to the line as early as you safely can.

Still planning to rush for Sunday, is anyone wants to be my plus one in exchange for covering my ticket. Last Sunday, there were over 58 people in line by the time the box office opened.

Has anyone confirmed there will be rush for the final show? It is subject to availability, and it is completely sold out. Something worth sorting out before ya'll line up...
