That WSJ is rather odd. I don't understand the critic's vitriol against the show. Something is waaay off with that person.

Any time a show gets this kind of overwhelming positive reaction, I find myself at peace because the joy being expressed in the reviews, audience and critic, shows the purpose and power of theater. There is no such thing as a perfect show, just as there is no perfect world, but something that consumes you and fills you with happiness for 2.5 hours when the world seems pretty bleak is important.
I'm thrilled for the cast and crew of this show. May they have a happy, healthy run!
