Im not trying to make an argument out of it. I laughed when I saw his height listed as 6'1 somewhere. But Ive worked for him for 3 yrs and we had a chat about his actual height and posture and so on. Cant imagine what he wouldve gained from lying about his height to me. He said he was 5'11+. *shrug* Im in a wheelchair so I cant really compare people to my own height.

well now that the auditions are over i wonder what's next? i hope we hear something soon.
From what I've heard after everybody's callback they would announce the time period for which you could expect to hear back. For those of you who went in Chicago, do you know when that time is? Also what is the deal for auditioning for ensemble??? Thanks so much! You guys are sooo nice!

Yeha they told me it would probably be a month or 2 until we hear something after my call back in Atlanta. I just want hear something really specific.

hey everyone! just wondering: at the callbacks, were you guys asked to read or sing more than once...? You know, after they had given direction? I've heard that that's a common thing to do, and was just curious...Thank you for any info you care to share!!!!!

yeah I read the scene like 4 times and sang the song about 3 times. they gave me a new direction each time. i think they really wanted to see how one handles direction.

not yet! i hope i hear something soon.
I am new to this board, but I read all 11 pages! I heard about all these auditions after they were over, but I emailed my picture and resume anyway, and they asked me for a video audition. Earlier in the thread there was a question as to whether or not they requested videos from everyone who emailed their application and I know that the answer to that is no, because Some friends of mine also sent their and they got a different email thanking them for their application, but not asking for anything more from them. As far as how many people sent in a video, I have no idea. That is what is killing me I have no idea how many other people we are up against! But from what you all were saying about the turnout and the call backs it isn't near as many as I thought. I thought I would have to stand out among thousands of people!
I got their email on Wed. of last week and I Overnighted the video as soon as I could get it done and looking good. They will receive it tommorrow before 10:30 AM. So I hope it gets there in time.
The other thing that was interesting to me was thw age thing. I just didn't specify my age. Legally if you are over 18 you don't have to, so I just let them think I am how old they think I am until they ask me directly.
It will be exciting to see if they call any of us! I am on pins and needles!

C'mon, give me some "Looking for 16-21 year old white male. Energetic, dancer, singer to play ensemble role on Corny Collins SHow."
CMON!
it is not actually legal for them to ask for your age unless you are filling out paperwork for tax purposes or if you are under 18 and need to have a guardian sign off on something. just thought I'd throw that info out there. It's due to the fact that they can't discriminate based on age, race, etc.
i think i had mentioned before that they had called me, and i missed the call and called back, but i haven't heard back from them again. i was going to do the video audition and they were calling asking for my e-mail address so they could send me everything that i needed to do, but i never got a phone call back. i suppose i'll just try to get a hold of them again.
BUT if there are more open calls, i might just wait until then!

They sent me an e-mail about a week ago telling me they were scheduling auditions for Baltimore, but that it was tentative, and that I could send in a video and go to the audition when it was scheduled, just to be safe and make sure I got in an audition in case they didn't actually have them. I think that was the longest run-on sentence ever. Sorry :)

Don't loose sleep over not being called yet ladies- I know a talent agent who spoke with the casting directors recently and they are very unsure of the schedule and timing from here on in.
They don't even know if they WILL start filming in July- as previously announced...

So it looks like september rehearsals with 'filming in the fall'.
Now that they have Travolta and Latifa cast they can focus on the rest- and announce the new open call cities.
Can't see them doing screen tests in LA before May, so I don't think anyone will be called before Mid- April.
