So, I'm in line today, 3rd (ticket) for sro, 11th in the line overall (people). I'm trying for SRO regardless but my plus one isn't going to be coming after all. If anyone wants to pay for my ticket, I can make you my plus one. I'm staying in line for myself regardless but thought I'd put it out there.

How are you sure the 8 or 9 "seat" people in front of you wouldn't take SRO if no more seats are being offered?

Oh, I'm sure a number of them will. I am thinking that their chances of getting a regular ticket are much higher than me getting standing room, hence my casting the net wider. SRO is all that is in my budget. It's not the end of the world for me though. I've seen it twice on Broadway, twice in Chicago, and I saw it in SFO. My main thing today is thinking it would be awesome to see all 3 in the same week. I saw Chicago on Wednesday, SFO last night, and I'd love to complete the hat trick. If I don't get in tpday, I'll try again. I want to see James Monroe Iglehart in the role.

No SRO today but they gave out about 20 tickets I believe.

I am considering to try the cancellation line in late August for the first time. 1) What is the cheapest ticket you might get, beside the SRO? 2) How do I make it clear I am only interested in SRO when I enter the line? Do I just say it?

Hamilton lottery win: $10
Hamilton line SRO: $40
Hamilton line non-Premium seat: $229 currently
Hamilton line Premium seat: $849 currently
If you ONLY want SRO then simply tell that to the theatre worker who is dealing with the cancellation line for that given performance. Note: get there early so you are given the best chance to be first on the SRO-only "list".

" I would also want to add on June 3rd we got a non-used accessible seating that were $199, but those are not the norm. Most are the listed above $229 option. Good luck!

Thank you very much! I am thinking to get there at 6am for the Matinee, though it seems that people started to arrive later recently... Maybe it's just the matter of the day.

Going to NYC this weekend- what day do I have a better chance of getting a cancellation/SRO/or last minute stubhub- Saturday matinee, Saturday evening, or Sunday matinee? Or is it still a total crap shoot?
Thanks!
You probably have an equal chance for each show. SRO are few and far-between, sporadically sold. If you are in line early enough either day you will get a cancellation ticket for any of the shows. (Stub Hub always has something too, just depends how much you're willing to pay.) Personally, I would try to do Saturday matinee or Sunday just to avoid that awkward and unorganized 2nd-show-line, which sometimes starts in the morning with people who didn't get matinee tickets, and then merges with people arriving in the afternoon. Good luck! Have fun!

Hey everyone! If anyone needs a linesitter for the cancellation line anytime during August dm me, I can get there early and stay for as long as needed! I've done the line over 10 times including multiple times for people who were on this thread last year.

Hi! wanted to share my experience today (wednesday 07/02) lining up for the matinee show. I've seen the show before so I only wanted SRO. I reached the theatre at 10am and I was 25th on line. The line got a little longer after 11, and 3 people left at this point.
They started giving out seat tickets at 11.30, and stopped after around 14-16 tickets. They only gave more tickets at around 1.30. It was raining and some people left, but in the end in total I think they must have given out around 30 seat tickets! There were only about 5 SRO today, they gave out SRO tickets at 2.00. I was fourth in line for SRO and luckily I got in! When it was my turn to pay the lady inside told me (rather rudely) no SRO left, only $229 seat and told me to go out.. and within 1 minute told me to come back in and I got SRO. And anyway I got it, awesome view, only top part of the set is blocked but nothing significant happens there anyway. Good luck!

We got here at 1. We were originally 14/15 but the first group bought Saturday tickets and left, someone came by with a spare ticket, and about 9 unclaimed lottery tickets were sold.

Yes everyone in front of me got tix! For seating I would say maybe around 10-15 people behind me got tix too (they gave out seating tickets before SRO, so people who wanted seated tix behind me went in first). For SRO, I think there were 2 single tix behind me and that was it.

Had a very similar experience i wanted to share. On thurs 7/27, i got to the cancellation line at 4:30pm (for a 7pm show). I was 25th on line. They handed out 20 seated tickets. I was waiting only for SRO since thats the only thing in my budget. They managed to hand out 5 SRO tickets that night about 3 minutes before the show started. For anyone trying to get cheap hamilton tickets, it IS possible! Persistence and effort is all you need. Good luck to anyone trying to get tickets!

So, the returned lottery tickets, what do they cost if you stand in line? Do they charge the premium or the regular price? I'd hate to wait in line all day and only be offered those $800-some dollar tickets.
