Not yet! I probably won't know about standing room until like right as the show is about to begin. Buncha people got in, and there are 3 people in front of me who want regular tickets. Fingers crossed!

At what time did the front of the line reveive their tickets and, if you know, what time did they arrive?
I believe it was around 3PM and then 7PM when people got tickets! Very few cancellations and zero SRO given out. I'd say first person was there at 9! It was a bummer as I'd been there 6 hours - and was first in line for SRO and 3rd overall - but c'est la vie! This was my fourth time trying the line and I have yet to see them sell SRO so it really is a gamble!
I am planning on going on the cancellation line tomorrow thursday at 12;30 p.m. I was wondering if you think I will be able to purchase 2 orchestra seats for my nephew who is in from L.A.? It is the holiday weekend and tickets may be hard to come by:? Thanks for any feed back.

I did the cancellation line back in March and got front row seats for my daughter and I thanks to all the good tips here :)
We also have 2 tickets that I bought for an upcoming Oct show and we are excited to see it again. I would like to buy 1 more ticket for that show and might do the line again. But I have been watching Ticketmaster resales and stubhub for that date. I just did a count of available tickets and there are over 450 tickets for sale for that one show in Oct. That is a third of the theatre that is being scalped! Why is ticketmaster allowing this? Does anyone know, if the "resells" dont sell on ticketmaster, are they released as cancellation tickets?
Went to queue for tonight's performance and the queue was surprisingly short. We arrived at 3pm and there were 5 people ahead of us, so we were 6 and 7 in line. The first 2 people in the line left at around 3.30pm, not sure why.
The 3rd in line got her 1 ticket at about 3.30pm. Numbers 4 and 5 got their tickets at about 3.40pm (and they had arrived about 10 minutes before us, so they'd been queuing for less than an hour!)
At that point we were first in line but the guy at the ticket office only had 1 ticket left. We opted to wait. At around 4.40pm, another 2 people joined the line.
We got our tickets at about 5pm (yay!!!) and at the time, there were only 2 people left behind us. Amazing tickets, row D dead center. Can't wait for the performance tonight!
Just wanted to share my experinece in the cancellation line. It was about a month ago for a Thursday 7pm show. I decided to randomly join the cancellation line at around 3:30pm. I was 25th in line and figured it was a long shot to wait, but hey what else did I have to do :p Throughout the next few hours, tickets were handed out to the front of the line as they became available. At about 6:45 they moved the cancellation line up towards the front of the theater and sked each person what type of ticket they wanted - a seat or standing room. Once you told the guy in charge which type of seat you wanted, you were locked into choosing that type no matter what the next ticket was. For instance, I told him I only wanted standing room but the people behind me wanted seats, so if a seat came out than he would skip me and give the seats to the people behind me. Anyway, by the time it was 7:58 they came out and told us that there were 5 standing room tickets left. I managed to get THE LAST standing room ticket of the night!!! It waw the most exciting thning in the world.
Things to know about cancellation line:
1) Standing room tickets are $40
2) seated tickets can be any price, they are face value so usually >$200 from what i saw
3) you dont always need to get there at the crack of dawn (although I suppose it couldnt hurt)
4) standing room tickets are pretty much partial view because the overhang of the balcony juts out pretty far. Good thing to keep in mind for anyone purchasing back of the orchestra seats in general. Pretty much only saw what waw going on on the wctual stage, but anything happening higher up we couldnt see. Still was totally worth it for $40
Wanted to share my experience getting SRO yesterday (Friday) evening. I walked past the theater at about 6:15pm for the 8pm show. I decided to join the line and was #16. By 7:50 they had only sold about 6 tickets. At 7:55 they sold their last pair and I was still about #6 in line. At 8:03 they came out and said they had standing room. Only one woman in front of me wanted SRO so I got the second spot!
It turned out that they only had 7-8 seats but also had 6-8 SRO spots (way more than normal)
Overall the almost 2 hours in line was well worth the $40 SRO ticket.
Hi guys, i'm planning on doing the line on the first week of october, so two questions:
1) I can only go on night show, my best shot is on going in a two show day afternoon or a single show day?
2) And what is a safe time to go to the line? i heard 12PM is good for a night show, but many people share stories of a short line by 3PM or even later.
I'm going on my vacation and the less time i spent on line the better. Thanks for all the good advice, this is a wonderful thread with wonderful people.
I did the cancellation line last Saturday, September 23.. We watched the matinee for Dear Evan Hansen, so right after the show, we raced to the Hamilton cancellation line. That was around 4:30pm. The line was relatively short when we got there (less than 15 people). A few minutes after lining up, one person bought tickets from a scalper. At this point we were lined up on the left side of the theatre. After Hamilton matinee, they moved us so we can sit on the steps in front of the theatre. Three people ahead of us bought tickets from a scalper. I guess it was around 6pm when they gave the 2 guys in front of the line tickets, which made us #7&8 in line. Then when it was around 6:30pm, they moved us to the right side of the theatre (in preparation for the evening show lineup). At 7:10pm, 3 more people got tickets, so we were #4&5. At 7:44pm, they released 3 more tickets, so we became #1&2. Got our tickets at around 7:54pm. Centre orchestra, we were seated next to the couple just ahead of us in the line. Super great seats and the 3.5hour wait went by really fast. The couple behind us got one centre orchestra seat and a SRO ticket. The 2 people after them I believe got SRO as well. Didn't see the lady after them but saw the couple after that got centre orchestra tickets as well. The cancellation line was well worth it!
Does any one know if Thanksgiving weekend is traditionally a busier time than the rest of the month? We are hoping for the Friday matinee on November 24, but may just go ahead an buy tickets ahead of time since we are traveling from the West coast. TIA for any info!
