So my question is this , I know all the linesitters that do this pretty much . Anyone can put that they are LLC or INC on their company. I have dealt with the "other company" and they were very very good. They told me it was not a guarantee and this is all a chance. I m just saying anyone can say they are LLC, what proof do we have. I have dealt with SOLD inc. , J & W Linesitters and Linestanding Nyc. All 3 companies are fantastic and they are all very professional.
"Come to find the man that arrived at midnight was there for the sole purpose of selling his #7 space. So the random services are out there already and yes, the plot thickens!"
Wow. I don't even know what to say about this...The plot does thicken. If I were in line, I'd be pssed though.
"I would expect it to get worse because of warm weather, vacations, school breaks, Tony awards, BUT anything could happen between now and your trip. The theater could change the way they distribute these tickets. Line sitters could be banned. The police could decide to disperse the line during the overnight hours. A gas leak could demolish the theater. Not saying any of this is likely, but there is a lot that could change between now and then."
Ditto^ The Cancellation Line and anything the RRT does is volatile. You have to check back the week before. I predicted it would get crazy but couldn't even predict it would happen THIS quickly, with people lining up the night before, when just a few weeks ago, the earliest people were line-sitters at 3 a.m....Who knows what will happen in the summer, after the Tonys
Wow, what happened? I got in off the cancellation line two weeks ago on a Wednesday. I got on line at 5:05pm after work, and got a ticket at 8:02pm. That was a 3-hour wait in the cold. IIRC, they gave out at least 14 tickets (the last 8 of us got the house seats in rows F & G).

"Aw man! What luck!!! I'll keep saying it, my 17 hour wait for a pair of tickets netted me zero tickets as #9 in line. 11 tickets on my day. 3 singles and 4 pairs. Although I already lost at the line and bought resale for May after the ordeal, I still wanna try at the cancellation line again but for 1 ticket. I know when I see it once, I will want to see it again, so might as well try. And I felt that single tickets were better odds than a pair. I would have been off the line after 8 hours if I had just said yes to the single ticket that was offered to me.

The man kept saying he was leaving, that it didn't look good, that he was gonna leave (cuz no one wanted to pay $100 for his spot) he sold it for $25 at noon and at 12:30 the first two single tickets were offered. The spot purchaser was the first to get a ticket and was on his way.
In that instance, IDK how all of us behind him could have stopped this from happening.

I'm pretty sure that falsely saying you're licensed and LLC is illegal. The other players might be great but for me, personally, I'd only go with a verifiable licensed source for self protection. Let's just say you ran into a problem with the others, you have no recourse.

"When you got your ticket at 8:02pm, you paid and went inside ASAP, had the performance started yet or it started a little after 8? Was just wondering if one misses anything when tickets are distributed so close to showtime."
anyone who wants to share their 8pm ticket experience, please do!
I don't see how capping the cancellation line to 30 people will help. Thirty people can generate a lot of garbage.
Marriott Hotel Says No to This
The warmer spring weather has brought with it a perpetual tent city of fans living up to their impish self-description as "Hamiltrash": sleeping on cardboard boxes, getting food delivered to their spots in line, and breaking out games of chess on boards propped up by overturned milk crates.
MyFavoriteBrunette said: "uncageg said: "Walked past the theater this morning at about 8:15. It appears that they have moved the line to the right side of the entrance. Last week it was going through the Marriott breezeway so wonder if they made them move it?
That line cap may explain the move in line this morning.
Has it really been that bad out there? I mean, people know there are a limited number of tickets available. I'm guessing the problems are arising people people are getting there earlier and earlier and sleeping outside.
The photo used in the article is misleading though. It shows the lottery crowd, not the cancellation line crowd.

"YEAP! Journalistic Sensationalism. On my 17 hr wait, I saw the sign they mention in the article. I was hoping I wouldn't get in trouble with my chair but then again, the line sitters had 3 personal tents erected!"
With the way things are going with the cancellation line and the issues that are arising, it doesn't seem likely that the in person lottery will return with the warmer weather.
I've been thinking the same thing. I bet the surrounding businesses and Hamilton's lawyers have been pretty relaxed and comfortable with the lottery being digital-only.

"Got off of work--decided to stop by the line at 5pm and see what it was like this evening. Not terrible but I knew I didn't have a chance at 18th in line, but stayed to watch and see if its the same situation. Sitters had position #1 & #2 and the rest were non-sitters. At 7pm, as people arrived to line up for tonight's show, two of the same company line sitters "set camp" for tomorrow's cancellation line. 7pm. Again. Sooooo, if anyone is looking to use a line sitter, it looks like you gotta start booking them for 6pm or 5pm for sure. This 10pm and 12am just isn't cutting it. And where will that leave those who don't want to or can't afford to spend extra money on a line sitter. They'll have to start arriving at 4pm.
If what the article states is accurate, not only will capping the line limit be necessary but also the time one is allowed to line up, sitter or not.
A 30 person cap might be good for matinee days but on an evening performance even 20 is too many. There aren't that many tickets to go around.
i don't know if any evening performances were distributed prior to my arrival, but at 8pm, the two sitters got in and then two more (6 tickets total) I asked about standing room and the line attendant said the last two patrons were standing room.
Would it really work if they set a time when people can start lining up? It's unlike most line scenarios since there's not enough for everyone. Things could get ugly with a bunch of people all arriving at say 6 am.
If you object to the craziness of the Hamilton cancellation line then stop posting here. As long as this thread stays active and on the first page of BW.com, the cancellation line will grow. Capped at 30 won't change much because it's the first 10 spots that people are fighting for.
That's how I got tickets in February. Would never have known about line sitters if I didn't read about it here from the critics of the sitters. Just saying.
Wow I haven't seen this thread in about a week, I can't believe how crazy its gotten. I could never even FATHOM waiting in a line for 25 hours. Plus, when would you sleep??
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
This is absolutely insane. I was just there a month ago and was 4th in line at 5am.
I almost didn't go because it ended up being NY's coldest day on record since 1994 and the coldest Valentines Day ever (around -1 to 2F for most of the morning) but now I'm so glad I took the chance when I had it and actually got to see the show. I really can't believe how crazy it got just in the last few weeks, and we haven't even hit the Tonys or even the nominations yet. I've done a lot of waiting for a lot of Broadway shows but I think I draw the line at overnight. Good luck to any of you trying in the future, but I do think RR will be doing something about it soon. I don't know what the best solution would be and god knows what they'll come up with but I really don't think they'll let it continue this way (especially considering they did away with the live lotto when that got too big).
Oooh! If the hotel and such are getting testy about the cancellation line, maybe that will also force their hand on keeping the lottery digital only for good! *fingers crossed*

Yes, you are right about things getting ugly at 6am with everyone showing up all at once instead of staggered. Staggered now is arrive 26 hours before the next show begins.
20 years ago, The NY Yankees/Ticketmaster used for the World Series ticket sales a bracelet. In 1996, I lined up after work at 7pm and at 3am I don't know what happened, a melee and stampede broke out. Tens of thousands of fans alllll running towards one open gate. At the end there were broken portable TV's, radios, tents and chairs all over the place and people hurt. The next time the Yankees made it to the World Series, the Yankee organization did not allow overnight lines of that magnitude and instead directed fans to arrive to the stadium between this and that time, attached a numbered bracelet on you until they ran out and you were on your way home, good night's sleep and you'd arrive the next morning to be placed in your section in line and then wait to buy tickets.
