A man came by with a printed ticket saying the face value was $250 but he would sell for $500. Apparently he's there frequently. I think he is running a scam because a) he would not go in with the person who wanted to buy them to make sure they scan. they actually got into a heated debate on the street about this b) I don't think tickets go for $250 face value, I thought it was $177 and then $477, or something like that, but no in between. Also, a man came from a company that has their office in the Marriott and was offering $600 for a single ticket or $1400 for 2. He admitted the tickets were also on Stubhub. "
There is a guy who frequently resells tickets outside the theater that are legit (at least, I've never seen/heard of anyone having problems with them), but I'm not sure it's the same guy. He usually tries to sell them for $300 each.

We are all hoping to watch the show, so is that okay or..?
The new rules state no line swapping or holding. Any bathroom breaks would be with the understanding amongst fellow people in line for one to take the quick run. You need 5 tickets and 3 people to do it with so I don't think one member of the family can "hold" the other two spots for swapping purposes. In the past, it was always a 1-for-1 swap for breaks.
"
My read of the OP here was not one person holding three places, but that they would keep three people on line at all times, and the two people not on line would swap out with the three people throughout the day, to give breaks, but always keeping three bodies (to buy five tickets) on the line. And that would be ok with me if it was happening in front of me, although that too goes against the posted rules.
I would completely be fine if a party of 5 had three people in front of me and swapped out with two others watching the show--I mean this line stint is exhausting! Hence why people hired sitters in the beginning because no one had close friends and family crazy enough to get there early enough to do it with them. But explained the other scenario instead and with the new rules, well...I'd rather not rock the boat and not swap.

May I ask where is your premium seat located? Row/Seat?
My sister wants to see the show again, she gots the Hamilitis after I treated her last week. Her pockets aren't as deep as mine and thought the sitter route would be cheaper for her than last minute StubHub purchase so I figured splitting the cost would work but that isn't an option anymore. A premium is pricey for her but if she got a decent seat she would be happy.
Thanks for sharing! Oh! And how long did you wait on line for?
"
Thanks for all the well wishes guys. Absolutely loved the show and really glad to have seen it with (most of) the original cast. It really is amazing how well everything comes together - the choreography was fantastic. I particularly loved Daveed Diggs who for me gave the standout performance - I'd love the Tony to go to him.
To answer your questions- I arrived at 5am, and got the ticket at 2pm. I believe only 5 seats and 1 standing room got sold so the poor girls who got there at 4am didn't get in (and they were willing to buy premium also).
I was extremely lucky today and counting it as a complete fluke that I managed to get a ticket - was in row J 110 - fantastic seat.

OOOOOH! Row J! Niceeeeeee! I'd pay $477 for row J! It's that row that's slightly elevated from row I so you get a great view! What a lucky day for you!
My heart goes to everyone who tried today. I feel your pain as I've been in those shoes.
I tried to post this earlier... I copied this from Louie CK's website (regarding purchasing/buying tickets for his shows). If Hamilton adopted the same policies, much of the scalping would/could disappear...
"For those of you who plan to take the opportunity ....... on this tour to make a profit at the expense of my fans, please note that we are working hard to prevent scalping and that if you resell your tickets at an unfair price, you are risking having your tickets invalidated. Also, if you purchase tickets to my shows from Stubhub or other scalping sites, that ticket may not be valid."
How would the line be longer on Wednesdays when there are 2 shows? Shouldn't it be easier as you have chances of getting either the matinee and if you don't get one, you are next in line for the evening show? Or is someone enforcing 2 lines?

I dont think anyone said the line would be longer on a wednesday, its just harder to get tickets as all of the lottery tickets will be claimed in person for the matinee as well as the standing room, while normally any unclaimed lottery tickets/standing room are offered to the cancellation line.
Hi everyone! I'm trying to go next week. After all of these posts I'm still not sure what time to heat out. I want tickets for a tuesday Night show (week from tonight). What time do you estimate is should get on line for an almost sure ticket?

"Yes, there is a guy from the Marriott concierge who comes around before the show. He's legit. You'll actually have to do the purchase at the Marriott concierge counter.
A couple next to us got their tix from them. The seats were at the balcony though, so we backed out from doing the purchase."

Yes Anakela, that is what I meant! Thank you both for your input, I appreciate it!
Anakela said: "No! Is that a new thing? I usually see a line sitter or three on my side of the street on my walk home, that's why I was so surprised to not see anyone tonight. But how does that work when FN has their own show loading in/their own stage door happening after? I'll check both sides of the street tomorrow.
oMG. 17. Your pink barricade! I love it!

I think they only move there if the Marriott temporarily kicks them out of that usual waiting area. Looking at Finding Neverland from RRT, they sit to the left of stage door near the front of the closed Hotel Edison. I saw them there twice between 9pm-11pm though you're right most of the time they are in the usual place in front of the Marriott parking area garage gate next to RRT.

Hey @nrubanobroadway! I also have been planning to wait in line for Tuesday's show as well! Maybe we'll see each other in line :)
But yes I second that question. Is 5am still too late if I wanted to grab 2 tix? prefer the $177 tix over premium but will pay for the premium if my chances don't look good.
planning on waiting out there tonight for tomorrow's matinee (my friend can't make it to the evening show so the matinee's our only shot)...i'll try to keep y'all updated, since it seems like there isn't much info on wednesday matinees. wish me luck!(:
the two girls yesterday who arrived at 4am were willing to buy premium but didn't get in as only 1 premium got released.
Yesterday may have been exceptionally difficult because of the Sirius radio town hall moderated by Anderson Cooper in the afternoon at the theatre because more than likely some of those people got house tickets

To add on to this: I just walked by the line, and if I had to make a snap judgement just by looking I would say that not a single person on the line right now is a paid line sitter. I definitely didn't recognize the first few people by face. (I walk by the SOLD dudes all the time.)

Good luck!!! :)
It will be harder since all the lottery seats will be claimed and no standing room available to the cancellation line ---- but I also hope you win the lottery on Wed matinee! Please keep us updated -- especially if any rules were broken/lax/not enforced.
