Someone on the Here Lies Love Reviews thread also stated that they got standing floor rush tickets about 10 minutes before the 8/6 Sunday evening show.
All tickets for recent reports were offered at $35
Chiming in to say I went to the box office a little after 6pm yesterday night and was able to get a rush ticket for Standing Room for the show at 8pm! Such a cool experience.
Went this morning and got there at 9:45 (later than planned) and there was about 50 people on line.
The matinee sold out five people in front of me, and I got the last single for the evening, which happened to be VIP Box A101 for $35!
Beware though, shifty rush people were working hard this morning. Some tried to join the line as the doors opened, and one woman tried to cut the line after she already purchased because she “forgot to buy a fifth rush ticket”. (WTF?) Me and the other people near the window told her to shove off and she ended up S.O.L.
Everyone appeared to get what they wanted though, be it floor or seats. If you are going on a two-show day and looking for a matinee - go early. I hear the line started around 8:45-9:00

People unfamiliar with the show don’t know that and they are advertising the heck out of her special guest appearance.
As someone had mentioned in a previous thread, Lea Salonga is a HUGE deal to the Filipino community, so anything she is in is bound to be a huge event.

They must open up more tickets throughout the day. Just checked in at 6pm and was able to get a single rush Floorside seat. I was also asked if I wanted standing, so definitely sounded like those were still available
I will be in New York City in late August after Lea Salonga leaves the show. If my goal is two tickets in the front mezzanine or the first few rows of rear mezzanine on a weeknight (not a two-show day), is $35 a reasonable goal or is $99 more likely? How early should I arrive?

It’s going to be hard to tell since Salonga is a major draw right now. I rushed yesterday and there was about 35 people on line (first at 7:00am, I was second at 7:15) and everyone seemed to get tickets where they wanted. There have also been reports of rush tickets being released in the few hours before showtime. The rush price seems doable, but also you can enter the lottery for $39 online and secure tickets a day in advance,

Thanks. It sounds like next week, post-Salonga, might be a better time to ask if things have changed at all in terms of the line, although I gather that people are getting the tickets they are seeking even now.
I would be going on a one-show day, not looking for floor seats. I just don’t want to be too far back in rear mezzanine if that’s possible.
I have noticed the comments about rush tickets coming available later in the day, which is good to keep in mind. And there’s always the TKTS booth if all else fails.
Just an FYI - I did rush yesterday and went to the box office around 11:50. They offered me floor side or dance floor for $35.
The dance floor seemed about 70% full but even then people didn’t seem to realize they needed to MOVE WHEN THE JUMPSUITS TELL YOU TO. It feels like knocking over human bowling pins. I could tell from the floor there wa as around three full rows of the rear Mezz empty, but still seemed overall pretty full

I do wonder if Tuesday nights (when the alternate for Imelda is on) are slightly lighter houses than the rest of the week. I hope people will keep reporting on their experiences trying to get rush tickets!
I myself definitely plan to catch Jaygee as Imelda one of these days!
Friend and I rushed Sunday August 13. Arrived at box office at about 6pm for 630pm show and received front mezzanine row B, seats 102 and 104 for $35. Excellent seats, and had a really fun time at the show. Will definitely make a return visit.
On Wednesday, Aug. 30, I went by the box office at around 12:30 p.m. and got the final two rush tickets in Row F or rear mezzanine on the side for $35. The box office guy didn’t offer them at first, but then his colleague said those seats were fine. They seemed pretty far to the side, but I trusted her - and she was right.
Other people went early for rush. I don’t know what they got or were seeking.
Got to box office on Sun 9/3 at 11:50AM. I was 25th in line when box office opened at 12PM and go two Tix for 7PM show, rear side mezz row C seats 3&5. Standing was not offered.
Shorter line than expected for two show day but it was a holiday and US Open weekend. Spoke with a few ot Filipinos in line excited to see the show so there is still buzz and excitement from AAPI community even without Lea.
i think for right now they have discontinued offering standing dance floor tickets for rush. it seems that they sell them now for 69.00. other rush is available though. they indeed did change the final song several weeks ago. not sure why, normally you don't make changes after opening night

That is frankly a stupid idea since the dance floor is the centerpiece of the whole show. I would think they’d rather see that full before the seats, and if there are more seated people than dancers, it would look very unbalanced and weird. Plus, by my best estimate, roughly 44% (219 of approx 500 standing spots) have been sold for tonight’s show, which makes for a rather empty dance floor.
I’m going to give it a go when I get out of my taping of THE VIEW because, as tall as I am, I can’t sit in those seats and also something was definitely lost when I sat in that VIP box.
