I am no expert on this nor do I have insider info. NBC puts a lot of their live audience programming on 1iota, but this could totally end up being an invite only event for insiders and very lucky people. As of yesterday, there was nothing on 1iota. I would love to hop the G out to Williamsburg to see it. I’m sure something will be said soon. Hopefully.

I went to the Paley Center event for Behind the Scenes of JCS and someone in the audience asked how to get tickets... they are aiming for an audience of 1200 and the director and producers they don't have a plan for tickets yet.  It sounds like the audience is going to be pretty involved so I'm almost wondering if they will be actors/extras.

I can't believe I'm saying this but...anything?? This is one  wouldn't mind attending in person. I was NOT excited about this when it was first announced, but I'm kinda digging it now.

I've been looking everywhere for any information. Emailed the production companies, all the social medias, checking Backstage in case it's extras/actors - nothing. We need to find someone working at NBC or something.

Were the previous live broadcasts on 1iota?

ALL the previous NBC Live Musical Events (excluding HAIRSPRAY) were broadcast from a soundstage in Queens, NY without an audience.  HAIRSPRAY was broadcast from the Universal lot and soundstages in Los Angeles, CA and did feature a 'live' audience.  A lottery for those audience tickets was held weeks in advance.

All 1iota ticket requests are automatically put on a waitlist, so you're good for now!

I submitted a request for the rehearsal so hopefully there's a better chance there than the live show. If anyone gets ticket request updates within the next couple of weeks, let us know!

How long does it normally take to be approved? Once you are approved how long do you have to claim your tickets?

I think it all depends on the show. I've requested tickets for things and heard back weeks in advance (Conan), days in advance (Will & Grace), even the day of if they have leftover tickets (Late Night). Sometimes they won't be able to offer them to you at all.

I don't think there's a time frame to confirm but it's possible that they'll run out if you wait too long - they overbook events to ensure full audiences. I'd say just keep an eye on your email. Getting a reservation in most cases doesn't even mean you're guaranteed entry.

All of this is based on past experiences, but this could be completely different for all I know.

Thanks for sharing this information.  I just registered for tickets for Sunday.  It would be amazing if I had the chance to go to this!  If anyone hears if they are selected, please post so I know how far ahead they are notifying people.

Just called NBC and nobody under the age of 18 is able to attend at all. So disappointing. My 12-year-old son would do anything to see this live but NBC is worried that a 2-year-old is going to stand up and run onstage during the performance so he can't go.

I am on the waitlist for both the 31st and the 1st for the seated section. I don’t mind standing, so would it better my chances if I signed up for the pit section as well?

Also, has anyone found out if he or she is off the waitlist yet?

Pit section means standing for a long period of time, but it also means being close to the action. Seated section means you're further away from the action, but you get to sit and rest your feet during the show.

At this stage, you should pick one and enter.  As someone who has used 1iota for years, events, especially popular ones, can be extremely difficult to get tickets for.  Also I would not recommend entering more than one option.  The ticketing team, at least in my case, has recognized when I have entered an event/taping for more than one date.  As a result I didn't receive tickets to either.  Also once you get your email that you have actually gotten tickets, confirm immediately.  If not, they will very quickly release your tickets and/or put you at the bottom of the list again.
