Post that to his Facebook!
Phyllis - I'm assuming Hunter, being a Broadway actor, has no firm grasp on sports and assumed Angela Lansbury somehow fumbled the Tonys. Mark Sanchez recovered the Tonys and in a stunning display of offensive blocking, Johansson, Washington and Zeta Jones cleared the way for a touchdown as Abdul cheered from the sidelines, waving her pompoms for all to see. Lansbury, Maxwell and Glover hang their heads in shame at the realization that they threw away their shot at this year's Fabulous Bowl.

I have no grasp on sports, either, but I thought what you just said was hi-larious.

broadwayboy, i liked the guy who commented on it who asked to see douglas hodge's birth certificate.
"And did anyone else notice the comment complaining about British people winning Tonys? I quote, "Now, I am not anti-British - thrilled that we get to see these wonderful shows - but let's give OUR awards to OUR actors and OUR Directors!""
I guess they did not like Red or La Cage being developed from Menier Chocolate Factory before coming over.
And it's a shame that the writer and lead producer of RED are Brits.
Oh...wait...
I think the KA-RAZIEST thing about this is that I have no F'in clue what they're so pissed about! And now little Miss Disney herself is weighing in on it? Honey, you can't get much more Hollywood/Mainstream than doing a Disney movie and having a doll made after your character. Someone needs to give you a treat, put you back in your crate, cover it up and say nite-nite.
I hope Justin Bieber and The Rock host next years Tony Awards which will be aired 4am on Telemundo.
Can somebody let me know what Sieber said? I'm on my phone and can't see anything.
What a stupid Facebook page. Yes, the Tony's trying to attract a larger broadcast audience to support the theater. THAT'S what's wrong with the whole thing. Not trash like Hunter's own horrific jukebox musical or the piece of crap "original" musical that won the Best Musical Tony.

Christopher Sieber - Here's the deal....when you receive an award that is purchased for you...does it mean anything?! CZJ?! A big booooooooooo! But,congrats to the other winners....
Has this thread been on Towleroad yet?
Omg! What a dickhead. I was a fan until now. Now I hope he doesn't do Hairspray at Papermill. Ass.
Wait...who is little Miss Disney?
Anika Noni Rose? Sierra Bogess? Who?
WAIT...is it Cody? I forgot she was in the Frog movie.

No whining at all- here is an article written on the same subject (reclaiming the Tony's) from a theatre blogger in Toronto. http://www.twisitheatreblog.com/2010/06/tony-awards-can-we-ever-go-back-to.html

That's a pretty idiotic statement to make on a public facebook page, given that he offered absolutely no proof of this allegation. It just makes him look bitter (about what, exactly, I don't know. Maybe he's a fan of Montego Glover? I'm not sure).
She prides herself on that film. And there's nothing wrong with that, she was fantastic in it. But shed better not EVER complain about screen actors on stage. She lost that right the second she cashed her paycheck from Disney.
I just remembered Sieber auditioned for Night Music. He apparently was going to be Carl-Magnus until they wisely went with the younger Lazar. So would the idiot have made that statement if he were acting opposite CZJ?

To borrow from NPH, "Chris Sieber, please? Performing on your knees? Dude that only works to win Golden Globes" (along with buying for one).
Did she cash it the same time she cashed the check from the URINETOWN production where she ripped off the original staging?

I find it somewhat telling that the actors who join the group seem to all have alternate motives for disliking Hollywood actors at the awards...

Maybe it's because they didn't want a chubbo Carl-Magnus? Don't get me wrong, I like some meat on the bones and I think Chris Sieber is totally doable, but I would think that would have had as much to do with it as his age.
I guess it's ok since she's not a Hollywood star.
Agreed, Phyllis. Plus Nunn has Lazar get shirtless in this production. I don't see that working with Mr. Pudgy.

Now, if Mr Pudgy wanted to take that shirt off for me, I would have no objections. I guess he wouldn't want to do it listening to the Chicago soundtrack, though
Chris Seiber was in SHREK & SPAMALOT. He has NOTHING to say about hollywoodzation. Kate Baldwin is there as well, probably feeling a bit bitter...
