I'm tempted to watch it but I'm not sure if I should wait until the full trailer is released first. Eek!

I'm not saying it won't be, but its quite ridiculous to base your opinion on a brief clip. Be realistic.

That was less a sneak peak and more a commercial for Seth's vocal coaching.
Love you, Seth!

I really liked what I am seeing. It looks like Cinderella's rags will be transformed into a ballgown rather than the tree giving her the dress. The atmosphere looks dark, which they got right since the musical has some dark moments. Kendrick's ballgown is just a simple gold dress, but it's no big deal. I imagine the full trailer will debut tomorrow since it will be shown during 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. That movie has late-night showings tomorrow night.

I went ahead and watched the teaser. Disappointed the hosts wouldn't hush, but excited for the film. It looks like everything I had hoped and I can't wait to see the full thing!!

It also looks like we'll be treated to a heavy dose of Meryl's "talk singing". Yay.

So Tina Fey apparently auditioned for the film. She would have been interesting choice for the Baker's Wife, but I'm glad that Emily Blunt is playing the role.

I remember when someone suggested Tina Fey a long time ago and I thought she would be brilliant. Interesting that she auditioned and worked with Seth!

A little bit of Seth Rudetsky goes... too long of a way.

I mean, sure, it could get a Best Picture nom. It's a film scheduled to be released within the calendar year for runs of at least a week in LA and/or NYC, which I believe are the qualifications.
Looks like they're likely to qualify!
Snark aside, the brief tease in that tease of a teaser was suitably teasing. The quick glance at the cinematography and production design look on par with what I'd want Disney to do with this material, so hopefully the story and characters get to fully flower the way the technical aspects look like they will.

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

I doubt this is best picture nomination material. Golden globe probably.

Anyone know if we are getting a trailer early this morning, or tomorrow (Friday)?

"I doubt this is best picture nomination material. Golden globe probably."
I think that the Golden Globes are more likely, but never say never. 'Les Miserables' did not get unanimous rave reviews like everyone thought, but it still got a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars.

Does Lucy Punch have a special phone that only rings when there's a wicked stepsister type role available?

Looks amazing from the 20 seconds they showed.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

These pictures are amazing. :O And although we've seen only 20 seconds of a trailer, it looks like they've done an amazing job with special effects.

She certainly does. I'm NEVER prone to hyperbole, but I got chills twice.

So, the movie is a mix of live singing and lip-syncing. Does anyone know which songs they sang live?

I am so anxious to see the trailer now after that brief tease. The score sounds wonderful it's such a pity that it isn't going to include any singing. Then again that's usually expected when marketing musicals.
