I thought of her, too, henrik. She would be great (if she could sing).
By the way ...
Abigail Breslin can sing
I still think Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) would be ideal as Red.
Oooh, good call.

Does anyone else think that since this is a Disney movie they might go with Disney stars for Jack and Red? I wouldn't mind seeing China, I think she'd be terrific.
China's too big of a country to play such a little part.
If Disney MUST use one of their own, they should use G. Hannelius.
Are you familiar with China China Anne McClain at all? The girl is really talented. G would be adorable as well!
I feel like Jack and Red will be relative unknowns.
Disney and Disney Channel are rarely incestuous- Disney rarely forces a non-proven Disney Channel star before their time. Zac Efron wasn't a "Disney kid" when he started appearing in mainstream movies, he was something of a household name.
Im surprised that people wonder if James Corden can sing. He was in the original London company of Martin Guerre. Granted he stood out like a sore thumb on stage, because he was playing the token fat kid in the village.

Here's James Corden's bio from the Martin Guerre programme
He also sang, albeit briefly, in the closing song of One Man, Two Guvnors.

Wow, I didn't know Sarah Hyland was in the Victor Garber/Kathy Bates Annie playing Molly.
Then I'm sure you'll be equally surprised to learn that Sarah Hyland played the title role in a 2002 production at Paper Mill:

Just found that out while searching for a picture of her in the 1999 movie.
ETA: Regarding Sarah as Little Red, I think she reads and acts too old for the part. Not to mention it eliminates the pedophilic under(over?)tones as she is a 22-year-old adult.

Just realized, if those reports of Emma Stone doing Cabaret on Broadway are true, surely that would affect her availability for this movie, especially if she plays a big part like Cinderella?
Sarah Hyland will be unavailable due to her shooting schedule for MODERN FAMILY, so she's not even a possibility.
Here's my choice for Little Red.
She's 12 years old now. She'll be closing in on 13 when they start filming in the fall.
And I believe her contract will be up on Broadway by then.

If Sarah Hyland WANTED to do this, she could easily miss 6-7 episodes of Modern Family. she's not majorly featured in every episode as is and her character could easily be at college and maybe Skype bits in. Not saying it's that easy but she's not a nominated star of MF so I can easily see the show giving her unpaid weeks off.
WAIT A SECOND! Greg from Doctor Who is playing The Baker? I'M SOLD!
Haha, good one, americanboy. She is an integral part of MODERN FAMILY, and they probably realized that when they sent her away to college and quickly brought her back. It's a shame she can't be involved, she'd have been such a perfect Little Red, but maybe she is no longer in the age range. I just wanna know what ages they are looking at for Cinderella and Little Red to make more informed fantasy casting choices. Either way, I like Besty's Lila Crawford idea.
