As of May 24, Ben Platt's shows at the Palace looks 50% sold to capacity -- each show.
Off topic:
I saw him on tour in Las Vegas in Fall 2022. He performed at The Theatre in Virgin Hotel. My casino host comped my tickets. Concert was fine, but he could toned down his ego, in my opinion.
This is the type of pettiness that I am HERE for."
Lol, the marquee is an LED screen. It’s probably on a loop of different show information.

It’s all over his social media. And there are some articles and talk shows he has done. But he really should say who his guests are in hopes that it might sell a few more tickets.

I disagree about the waxing. Everything else is pretty much spot on. :)

Exactly what I mean. Nobody cares about his social media. Everything I've seen relates it to the Palace reopening and nothing really about what's special about his show.

Ben, I know you’re not dumb enough to read the messages posted on this board, and you’re far too busy rehearsing for your show that’s REOPENING THE PALACE, but if you somehow come across any of these mostly bitchy comments, never let the haters get to you. Feel sorry for them, as you told me you do after your MSG show, but never let it get you down. You’re better on your worst day than they are on their best. Can’t wait to see your show at The Palace… and to have the opportunity to tell you again what an amazing, once-in-a-generation talent you are!

The MSG that was half empty too? Okay...
And like don't try this like you're friends with Ben and you didn't pay an exorbitant amount of money for the pleasure for him to say 2 sentences to you. Parasocial relationships are a bitch.

Dear Hater,
What’s an exorbitant amount to you is peanuts to me. And he’s worth every penny! And his show at MSG was far from half empty. What’s half empty is your head. 🤣

CRAZY! Because there are multiple people saying otherwise and it was up on papering websites!

I was there. Were you? Oh right… you can’t afford the exorbitant ticket price. And for the record, I never said I was friends with Ben. I’m Noah’s second cousin on his mother’s side. 😜
Don’t you realize that all of the negative energy you put out is just going to come back to you? That’s why you’re nothing, and always will be.
P.S. I haven’t had this much fun on this board since the good ol’ days! Let’s keep it going!

Well I mean, we can look at the Seating chart for the residency! It's half empty! They've lowered prices! It's on TDF! Which continues the narrative that he can't sell a venue that everyone acknowledges except you! Could you explain to me why his residency is not selling? Could it be because he does not have a single hit song? I mean... yeah it is probably that.

And just an FYI! They have started papering for the Palace engagement. I get to keep all my peanuts. :)

FYI… First row seats (not originally on sale) are now on sale for the not exorbitant price of $88 plus online fee. Btw, this isn’t called “papering”. It’s called providing tickets for his most ardent fans at a very reasonable price. Something most people here are always squeaking about other shows and artists not doing. But I guess if you’re Ben Platt, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Fans?
You're correct, that isn't papering. Papering is an actual service where you pay about $100 a year and producers will put tickets on them for free for productions (broadway and elsewhere) that are underselling and all you need to pay is the $15 service charge. There's also TDF which offers something similar with a different pricing structure. And wouldn't you know it? He's on both of those.
And somehow I don't think opening the front row is going to be what moves sales on the other 50% empty seats...

Thanks for all that info no one asked for. You must be a real Theatre Fan! Or a know-it-all smart-ass. Or both. You’re also boring me tears. Unlike yourself, I actually have a life I simply must get on with. But it’s been a real slice! See you at the show! 😘
