What do you think? Not the slightest chance??
I know a lot of people think she was nominated just because of her name, but could they turn this thing around and give her the Tony and not Laura.
Mind you it could always go to Victoria Clark...
I think it's an interesting category this year...
I think it's a horse-race between Laura Benanti and Nikki James.

It seems to be a three way race between Victoria, Nikki and Laura. I think Laura will win. Tammy and Patti seem to be fillers. I don't think the Tony Awards like Patti. I know it sounds crazy but she loses Tony Awards when she is the front runner by far. Me and my paranoia.
It'll be Benanti, unless there is a TOTAL Mormon sweep.

HUH?? Where were you in 2008?
Why does everyone think Clark has a chance? She's won no awards thus far.

I mean she has 2 but if she lost those ones it would have been crazy. She should have won for Sweeney and Anything Goes. But I have a weird way of thinking. ;p
I'm just going with what everyone says about Victoria.

Victoria has no chance. She's wonderful, but with all due respect, I think a lot of people even forgot she was in the show.
I really hope Benanti wins.
I think Clark deserves to be a frontrunner, but her performance has practically been forgotten. Absolutely no buzz.
It should be Benanti. If James wins, I will not be happy.

Same, WOTV is the show that made me start liking her. I heard Model Behavior and it was so funny.
I think it's Benanti with James a close second and LuPone in third. Though I would say LuPone had more depth and range of character than James. I don't think LuPone was nominated for her name, but for the poignancy of her performance of a character that was more fully realized than its original incarnation on film. As soon as she performed Time Stands Still, I pegged her for a Tony nomination. But when I saw Model Behavior, I knew Benanti had it in the bag. The most difficult complex patter song since the Witch's entrance in Into the Woods and performed to perfection. Too bad Burstein wasn't nominated as well. I think he could've won again. I found him much more memorable than the front-runner, O'Malley.
Any chance? How's 20%?
Burstein has not won yet, but should have both times he was nommed.
I'd actually prefer Patti to win over Missy B, I didn't understand a word she said during MODEL BEHAVOIR in the theatre.
I can't imagine how many voters actually saw WOTVOANB. So most voters are lying if they vote for either of them.
I predict the deserving Nikki will beat them both.

Bernstein got a Tony for Wonderful Town.
LOL. Danny Burstein is not Leonard Bernstein.

I don't think she's going to win. I also don't think she's expecting to win.
No. Oh and Vicki Clark is in Sister Act for the paycheck. End of story.

I agree. This may be the first and only time that LuPone is NOT expecting to win. I think she's genuinely surprised and thrilled with her nomination.

That statement is extremely rude. Who ISN'T on Broadway for the paycheck? You think she can just CHOOSE when to do a "meaningful" show over an "entertainment" show? Not every actor is as lucky as those were who got to do NEXT TO NORMAL, THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS, PASSING STRANGE, CAROLINE OR CHANGE, or HAIR.

Patti LuPone is the sun, the moon and the stars.
I'm not rude. Im being honest. Let me clarify-she is well aware she is in a theme park show and isn't expecting kudos for a thankless part. She's making great money and is aware of the trade-off.
If Patti wins, it will prove that the gay mafia does indeed exist.
They wouldn't have set up a win in 1988?
^ They wanted to let the drama build so that Patti could win her next Tony in the seminal role of Madame Rose.
