Loved the article. Sad that we don't know anything past the Sept. 6 performance, but here's to hoping he stays on for a while longer at least!

ETA: But he is going with the cast of HAIR to the Equity March in DC on Oct. 11..... so maybe he's sticking around? Though he could just go with the cast, not as part of it....

He'd better extend! I'm coming from overseas and seeing Hair on the 11th and I want to see Gavin in the role, darn it. Although I will be more annoyed if Wesley Taylor's off for his very last performance in ROA, which is part of the reason I'm coming over the dates I'm coming over.

The show on Oct. 11th was cancelled for the Equity March. The whole cast is going to DC. You should contact Telecharge to exchange your tix.
And Wesley Taylor's last in RoA is Sept. 13.

Yeah, the date that his contract it through scared me a little too, but he'll extend... right? I mean, I know he also really wants to do the music thing, but he seems to be having such a blast in Hair, I find it hard to believe he wouldn't extend!


I'm cautiously optimistic about it :)

Let me rephrase, since things are never 100% sure.

I put this on the other thread (the starshines):

Word back in Jan was that the producers were only willing to pay scale minimum to everyone. (speculated that is one of the reasons Groff didn't sign) I'm now thinking that Gavin (being experienced) agreed but to a much shorter contract than usually done. THAT way, if the show was indeed successful he could renegotiate for a healthy raise sooner rather than later. I'm hoping (guessing?) that it's just a matter of them settling a new contract more than weather or not either side WANTS Gavin to stay.

Just my thoughts. I'll be very sad if I don't get to see him one more time before he leaves. I'm seeing the show during his vacation, and planned to come back in September to see it again.

So I'm thinking of good names for the GC lovers but I can't think of anything memorable or creative. The only half interesting thing of thought of has been 'The Radio Lovers', but that just sounds like a group for people who like radios...

Any ideas?

I believe it was Catsnyrevival who said having a name basically lumps everyone into the same group, including negative behavior from other fans. I have to agree with that, even if having a name is fun.
