How are those MEZZ seats for the Sondheim theater? Would the end seats in BB(14-16) be good? Thinking about taking advantage of the Today Tix deal for my December trip.

The Sondheim has one of the best mezzanines on Broadway in my opinion.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "

It has not been announced yet, but I'm pretty sure they'll have a lottery. When this show played Toronto over the summer, they offered $39 digital lottery and same-day rush tickets.
I saw & Juliet a couple of days ago in the West End and really enjoyed it. As you can expect, the songs are the best bit. The performances are excellent, as they really capture the bombastic energy of Max Martin's songs and even find emotional depth in them. The songs generally fit the narrative really well, and the choreography and staging are pretty fun. My top five numbers are "Larger Than Life", "Show Me Love", "I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman", "That's The Way It Is" and "Roar"
I will acknowledge that the story is a mess (Having eight protagonists and five romantic subplots means Juliet sometimes feels like a supporting character in the story that bears her own name), but I think that it has some genuine merit. The characters are all likeable (Romeo may be "a douche and a drama queen" but at least he has some degree of awareness about his flaws and a willingness to improve, which represents a refreshing change from modern Prince Charming cliches) and I really like the message about how dealing with complicated relationships is a vital part of growing up.
However, I agree that a lot of the appeal is due to its cast, particularly Miriam Teak-Lee, Cassidy Janson and Oliver Tompsett, who have been part of the musical from the very beginning. In fact, I think & Juliet closing on the West End may be due to them wanting to move on and the production being unwilling/unable to replace them (The fact that the Shaftesbury is undergoing renovations is also a factor). Their chemistry between the cast members really allows them to sell the pantomime-ish "Meta" humor (e.g the jokes about Anne Hathaway's name) and ensures some of the more questionable choices made by the characters feel a lot more sincere and plausible.
Overall, I would give & Juliet 3 stars out of 4...
& Juliet lets out its first roar tomorrow night as previews begin at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, prior to a November 17 official opening. The Bard-meets-bubblegum tuner utilizes the impressive back catalog of Swedish songwriter / producer Max Martin, who in his career has written an astounding 25 chart-toppers as of today on the Billboard Hot 100. & Juliet features a book by “Schitt’s Creek” creator David West Read, choreography by Jennifer Weber, and direction by UK-based Luke Sheppard. Leading the principal cast are Lorna Courtney, Betsy Wolfe, Stark Sands, Melanie La Barrie, Paulo Szot, Ben Jackson Walker, Philippe Arroyo, and Justin David Sullivan.
The Original Broadway Cast Recording also releases tomorrow on digital platforms; the OBCR thread will be bumped soon so we can all provide our thoughts upon first listen.
“Created by the Emmy-winning writer from ‘Schitt’s Creek,’ this hilarious new musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told. & Juliet asks: what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo? Get whisked away on a fabulous journey as she ditches her famous ending for a fresh beginning and a second chance at life and love — her way.
Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, including ‘Since U Been Gone,’ ‘Roar,’ ‘…Baby One More Time,’ ‘Larger Than Life,’ ‘That’s the Way It Is,’ and ‘CAN’T STOP THE FEELING!’— all from the genius songwriter / producer behind more #1 hits than any other artist this century. Break free of the balcony scene and get into this romantic comedy that proves there’s life after Romeo. The only thing tragic would be missing it.”
Since the conversation has already started… who else is up for a soirée?!

Hello everyone. Kinda a newbie around here. I am very interested in seeing &Juliet. I downloaded today tix and made an account. Can someone please explain how the rush works and the best way to try and get the tix? Do they become available every morning at 9am and it’s just the first “x” amount of people to click the button get the tix? Sorry for being uneducated about this but hope someone can help!
I'm sorry but today I learned the bookwriter is the playwright of THE PERFORMERS, that megaflop from a decade ago with Henry Winkler & Alicia Silverstone!

That's basically it! You do need to make sure you find the &Juliet page on TodayTix and unlock it first (just once). Once you unlock it, you can come back to the page every morning to try to get the tickets. They are limited and will probably go fast for this show!
Just saw some pretty cheap seats on vivid seats for tonight's performance. I wonder if the secondary market bought the show and are having trouble selling it?
Looking forward to everyone's thoughts and reports from tonight and this weekend! Would love to see the Broadway cast recreate this on the Tonys if they're nominated for Best Musical!
I’m listening to the new cast recording while getting ready for tonight and it sounds GREAT. Very strange to hear it without British accents but I’m loving it and so happy to have this show down the street from me now.
