A friend who worked on the Superstar concerts at the Hollywood Bowl said that Lord ALW and others were talking backstage about wanting to bring it to Radio City for a few nights this fall or Spring if scheduled aligned.
If he could I'm sure Webber would love to have all 41 Broadway houses playing his own shows.
He's a megalomaniac.

We’d at least be assured of an overall quality on Broadway.

No one was talking about that backstage. No one.

Would be great.
I don't see the stars aligning for another year, though. Erivo's going to be in press mode in November and parts of October, then she'll be in London from January through end of May for Dracula. Goes without saying that they NEED Cynthia and Adam...Phillipa, Raul, Gad/Stamos, etc. would be nice but an added bonus.
If Radio City is indeed his wish and not just him saying something off the cuff...if they could pull a move together in two months, there's nothing announced for Radio City between October 11 and November 6, when the Christmas show begins. How long does Christmas load-in/tech take? 2 weeks? (There may well be engagements in later October not yet announced.)
As far as venue size goes, MSG is more comparable to the Hollywood Bowl. Economically, they'd probably need to do 4-6 performances at Radio City.

This is fan fiction. There’s no plans for JCS. Sorry.

This seems highly unlikely. We already know Cynthia will be on a big promotional tour for Wicked this fall, so this fall is completely out.
Webber likes to dream out loud a lot. Even if someone did float this idea backstage, it was probably little more than a wishful thinking.
I think it's just a one and done. Glad it was such a success for all involved.

Lets hope this happens with the same cast. please,. please, please
He put the kibosh on a pro-shot at the eleventh hour because he's banking on a couple of other big-ticket JCS iterations, why turn tail now?

It’s technically been filmed already via the screen cams, right? I guess if he wanted to release it later, the raw footage is there three times over.

I've seen that said a few times in various places. Is there any idea what these other big iterations are? A Broadway revival? An arena tour? TV special?
Gotta think Jamie Lloyd is doing the next West End + Broadway revival, right?

It's incredibly hard to co-ordinate a contract for commercial release of that footage after the fact. The cast and crew hold all the leverage now and could demand exorbitant amounts in compensation. It's not happening.

he was trying to get the tour to come to ny a few years ago. Who gives a $hit about JCS, another show that needs to go away

I don’t disagree. The hype for this production was the casting. It certainly doesn’t hurt that it’s a familiar name to a lot of people, but the glory was in the production and not in the material itself.

The tour was mishandled by, the known fruadster, Michael Cohl (Spiderman etc). Really Useful (ALW's company) sued Michael and is SB2N company thereafter for poor producing and money mishandling.

That's the 2014 arena tour that was mishandled. Wasn't he trying to get the recent Schreader tour on Broadway?
Also, let me echo the sentiment of intrigue, when it comes to the next iterations of Superstar over the next few years. Any idea of what those may be & when we'll see them? (Any chance those plans get expedited to bank of the buzz of Hollywood Bowl?) Also, do we really need Superstar to be Jamie Lloyd-afied? People have astutely said, Superstar has been rather stripped back & modern for years now.)

For some people sure, I love JCS and would have gone to this with any sort of star attached. Some people like the show, it's cool to like different things

Speaking of things that need to go away...

That’s a crusty opinion all right.

Bingo.
Makes sense- he wouldn’t even need to devise a reason for the male lead to end up bloody and undressed.
