Here's Julia Murney doing part of "Buenos Aires" in Seth Rudetsky's Broadway 101. This part was in Broadway 101 to simulate what goes on in a quick change. But it's a little sneak-peek if anybody hasn't seen it. Julia Murney in Broadway 101
She looks great, and I'm sure she will do wonderful!
I have always been interested in seeing a stage version of Evita. It came to a theater near my house a few years ago and was unable to attend.
I almost was going to make a visit to San Francisco this summer (because the city looks gorgeous), and go see this too, but it turned out to be too much money. Stupid loans.
"We like to snark around here. Sometimes we actually talk about theater...but we try not to let that get in our way." - dramamama611
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
I worked for the Music Circus YEARS ago and loved working there.. I saw some great shows (this was during the Lunch/Heartbeats/Chess/Nunsense years... It was also the year I met Susan Egan (she did South Pacific) and fell in love with her (in a vocal way...)
I wish I still lived in Sacramento every year Music Circus comes around so I could see these shows. I am so jealous. I love Julia.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
One of my good friends has PAed at Music Circus the last several years. Of course, this is the year that she's working in New York. :P And it's such a great season.
I will be there for three performances next week! Haven't seen Julia Murney yet, but am looking forward to it. I'm especially looking forward to hearing Eric Kunze as Che.
