I just listened to this podcast. I don’t think you are quoting her in context. She is very clearly criticizing Hamas and not the Palestinian people. Perhaps you don’t understand the distinction.

I had to look. As a graphic designer this is offensive ;) The amount of noise on that photo is horrific and easy to correct. Even an iphone can do better than this?
Personally I care far less about her personal opinions/comments than I do about the fact that she was absolutely terrible in Festen last time she was on Broadway. Hard pass.

I just listened to much of it too and Margulies deliberately misrepresents protesters as anti-Semitic who were protesting Israel. Sure, those two things can overlap but maybe I missed the part where Margulies acknowledges that you can have a problem with both the massacre of Israeli Jews by Hamas and also by the times forty massacres of Palestinian civilians by the lunatic Netanyahu government. Her best excuse, I suppose, is that the interview occurred in Nov. 2023 which was relatively close to the Oct. 7th Hamas attack and relatively early in Israel's assault on Gaza which has left to this date, I believe, 40,000 Palestinians dead and half of that count are civilians.
This is a horrific conflict. And even in Israel there are massive demonstrations trying to get it to stop. Apology acknowledged but Margulies sounds like a terrible spokesperson for anything.
She might not be a good spokesperson for political conflicts- but she is a wonderful actress and a very talented performer- I have loved her in a lot of different roles- and can't wait to see her live. I could care less what she thinks of anything political. I am not voting for her- I am paying money to see her in a play.
I disagree with Jon Voight- Clint Eastwood- Mel Gibson politically- but if I want to see their movies- I do. To me, this political correctness has gotten out of hand- but each person has to decide that for themselves.

There’s nothing wrong with not wanting to give money to people you have fundamental disagreements. It’s a personal choice. That’s how we have any power in a capitalist society. The handwringing over the handwringing is just as “out of hand.”
Of course. And let us not forget that Hamas attacked Israel and raped and kinapped. They started it- and though many might not care about that- I do- and the survival of Israel- who has a legal and moral right to occupy its land- is essential in this region. I agree 100 percent with everything Julianna Margulies has said.

Left on Tenth already sounds like the most generically titled show-within-a-show, so it makes sense the marketing should look equally generic."
Yeah- it reminds me of a Neil Simon play back in the day- perfect for middle aged women who buy tickets through the Auxiliary Club- but I have my tickets - becsue Julianna is a draw for me- loved her in Good Wife- The Morning Show- The Sopranos- etc. so I guess I am somewhat of a fan- and I do want to see her act in a BWAY play.

Funny you should say that - whenever I hear this title, I immediately think of Take A Left!
