Hey I was wondering if anyone has any new information on the rush for this show. I am planning on doing it tomorrow and wanted to know around what time should I get there and where are the seats usually located. I am going anyways and will report my findings. Thanks.

Let me try and answer these questions with the information that has been provided in this thread, Matt Rogers.
So it is just general rush? Yes, it is a general rush since people have reiterated that no student ID is required.
Whatever seats are available? Not front row or something like that? Since some people have been given orchestra seats and some have been given mezz, I think it's safe to say that it's not the front row but rather various available seats.

First preview I bought the last rush seat around 5PM
$37. Partially obstructed, Row F, house left.
Good seat.

Posted: 3/16/13 at 11:52amI rushed this show last Tuesday and got there around 930am. There were ten people already in line. Ten minutes later a lot more people showed up. I had no problem getting two tickets but this might change once the show opens. The tickets were partial view in the boxes and it really was partial view but the tickets were cheap so what can you do. Btw the show was fabulous.

rushed the show today. Got there at 10:15 and there were about 16-17 people in front of me and right after I got there, about 5 more arrived. Box office opened at noon (sunday hours), and by that time, there was probably 30 more people behind me in line.
I had no problem getting two tickets, they were partial view in the boxes. I think all the boxes were filled from rush tickets, but not sure how many more people after us got in or where their seats were located. Theater seemed pretty full!

Emily,
Probably not. I rushed a few Sunday's ago and there was about 40 people by the time the box office opened. I would say maybe try getting there around 8:30, I've walked by the theater on a Saturday morning about a week ago and there were about 50 people at 9 45. It also depends how well they sold the rest of the theater(other than boxes) and if you want to see the mattine or evening.

We scored orchestra A 2 & 4 this afternoon for $37 each. They were marked "partial view" but were really not except when there was a crate onstage in front of us for one song in Act 2.
Would highly recommend this show. And until today we weren't even planning to see it. But then we lost the NEWSIES lottery and THE LAST FIVE YEARS had a long list, so we walked up to 45th St. Glad we did. I think we just saw a Tony winner!

Posted: 4/6/13 at 11:54amMaybe 6:15? However long it takes to walk from a 6pm lotto on 41st & 7th to 45th & 8th. But we did take a shortcut through the Hilton on 42nd.

Posted: 4/30/13 at 1:50pmWe rushed on Sunday (when the box office opens at noon) and were the first people in line. The second person joined around 8am and the bulk of people showed up around 8:30am. They seem to give out a lot of tickets, but we didn't stay to see how far down the line they got.
