Thanks for mentioning the video, I just watched. They gave her so much love and support! Beanie looked very touched. I think she was afraid to speak because she was overcome with emotion.
Jane tweeted something incredibly stupid, apparently on July 25. (it's out there, if you care to look). She's laying low. I guess she can't handle backlash.

I hope reality catches up with anyone who keeps saying that Beanie did a swell job and was any kind of “good” in the role and was deserving of her name in the Playbill.
Love her or hate her, you can't deny that it was a moving clip. After the roller-coaster ride she had with this show, it's hard not to feel a bit bad for her.But she will be fine. I wish her a very successful career (dinner theater excepted).

My thoughts are more mini-series or small TV movies - what she was doing before. They seem to be a good fit for her on so many levels. Dinner theater actually wouldn't be a bad idea if she wants to continue working on stage. Take some serious acting classes.
I do give her credit for finishing out the last couple of weeks with grace.

Or maybe she has the tonsillitis. Who cares?"
This was on her Twitter July 25th. I can't see anything that would cause backlash, but nowadays, who knows.
"I love women. I AM a woman. Our voices are higher than men’s voices. Women's voices can get into the annoying area if it gets too high. If you’re doing a podcast, consider lowering your pitch a tad. If you think I’m being sexist about this then I don’t know what to do with you."

You may not see anything about this ridiculous tweet that would cause backlash, but believe me, she's getting backlash. A considerable amount. .
And IMHO, it is well deserved.
Celebrities may want to reconsider Twitter after that second bottle of wine.

Lets keep in mind how many people posted here confidently saying that this cast despised Beanie, was tired of her, thought she couldnt hack it, etc. etc. Reality aint on a message board, kids.

You could have stopped at reconsidering Twitter in general - wine or no wine.
Okay, I'll give you she's getting backlash - I went back and read some of the responses. Still, to miss a show because of it, particularly since it was Beanie's performance is strange. I'm still going with sick.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she's made good connections in Hollywood whether on her own or through family. Surely there are people who are willing to take care of her in that regard or cast her in projects again on top of having a support system.
And agreed. It's also a really good thing for her to having pushed on in the last few weeks despite not having sold out shows anymore. And genuine or not, the positive and sweet cast/crew messages are refreshing to see. Will be a good boost on her character and attitude. At least she'll have those to keep and be proud of.
No doubt it'll be used to compare with (and possibly bring down) Lea again in the future.
I also don't think some of you realize how fake this business is. Of course they're going to say nice things about her, wish her well, etc. People, for the most part, aren't monsters. And she's part of a well connected family. They're going to smile and wish her the best, duh.
Of course I'm sure it's true that not everyone on that stage today was a Beanie fan but there was genuine warmth too and that was nice to see. I never saw Beanie (I really enjoyed Benko when I saw the show). Obviously a lot of mistakes were made. But nobody is all bad and nobody is a complete villain here. Lots of people are to blame for what went wrong. It was nice to see them give Beanie a nice send-off. She made mistakes too but I don't think she's a bad person.

Did you watch the video? It went far beyond smiling and wishing well. The man practically held a service of blessing on her. Far beyond anything like “We wish Beanie all the best, thank you for sharing this afternoon with us, have a good night”.

What I got out of it was:
Thanks for your trouble. Now leave."
What video were you watching? Many speeches sending off other big actors didn’t go nearly as far as this one did. Why is it so hard for people to believe that her cast actually really liked her? It would have been so easy to do and say less.
All I kept thinking while watching it was: there’s no way Lea Michele would ever get that kind of send off.

I am certain a lot of people liked her - she has a fairly large fan base and there is no reason to believe there was much backstage angst. There were some rumblings, but by and large, I'm sure most liked her. However, it was also likely clear to most of them that the show was tanking with her in it. So possibly the farewell was also relief. The show would go on. Even Ramin in his tactful way called her an artist, which was a nice dodge. He's no fool, he's also a kind man who genuinely likes her and had fun working with her.
As for Lea, I think she's going to be terrific in the role. As for backstage friendships, it's about what happens on stage that matters to the people buying the tickets and, ultimately, that's what this is all about. I suspect the negative gossip about Lea from years ago was overstated, just like the praise for Beanie has been overstated by her fans. Lea has been through the loss of a lover, got married, had a child...and apologized. Just like Beanie, this is her dream and I really doubt she's going to do anything to muck it up.
Beanie: "Jane, you're the best. I'm really gonna miss you."
Jane: "I love you too kid. Hang in there."
Beanie: "Jane, can I ask you to do me one humongous favor before I head out?"
Jane: "Sure, what is it?"
Beanie: "Can you post some batsh*t insane comment on Twitter likely to get people clutching their pearls and just take the heat off of me my final week?:
Jane: "Kid, you got it. I know just what to say. Watch me work."

I don't know how sick Jane Lynch is, but I wish her well with her endeavors in future, particularly with other actresses."
She's still in the show until Tovah takes over in September.
I do see your point. There is a hyper-sensitivity surrounding everything these days and once you put yourself out there on SM, you have opened yourself up to all sorts of criticism.
Reminds me of an old story about Lauren Bacall when she was just starting out and it was suggested she lower her voice - and boy did she. Maybe it's my age and something from an older generation, but when I am speaking on the telephone or, as in the old days, creating phone messages, I used a lower voice intentionally, without thinking, because to my ear, it sounded better.
Not sure why Jane brought this up - I didn't see that she was responding to someone else. Would be interested in finding out how all this started.
Just saw the "conversation" between Beanie and Jane. Hey, why not!

Exactly. Some will always get glee out of watching people fall, and fall hard. Others even like to throw salt in the wound when the fallen have hit the ground.
There's another group who will be gracious, despite the troubles.
She was offered a job, she took it, and it didn't go well.
She's gone now. Time to move on from BF.
The show will either be saved now, or it won't. I've heard many say that the book for this show, and the show in general, just aren't strong.
And while the next two ladies in line are far stronger in the role, neither are Barbra. They will keep it going longer than BF might have, but I guess we'll have to see just how long it remains on Broadway.

Barbra did the show for a year. Mimi Hines did it for 18 months after that on Broadway. The National Tour ran for a year with Marilyn Michaels during 1965-66. The show doesn't need Barbra, just a strong lead. I think they will be happy with a year tbh, but who knows?
