Wow. I'm sorta shocked and yet I am not. Legally Blonde has brought many laughs to a wide range of audience and now with the tour being booked 3 years in advance and I am sure after that many community theatres and highschools I am glad to know that the spirit of Elle Woods will carry on.
It was no mystery this show was closing but this soon is tough. I am suprised they atleast didnt wait for the Holidays.
I just went on ticketmaster to see if they had tickets available and they still have them all through November still. I wanna get tickets but I want to make sure that its officially the last day before I buy them lol Its sad to see it go. It was a very fun show to go see.
It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.
it's sad that it's closing. But it had a good run. though it should have run for longer.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~
It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known. ~A Tale of Two Cities ~
I feel badly that I won't have a chance to see this on Broadway again. Hate to say it, but Rhiannon and Lauren- coming in third and fourth on the reality show are now the REAL winners- they have jobs!
I give it one year till the announcement comes out about making it into a movie musical. Hal Lutfig said he wanted to do it and I bet you it'll be "Introducing Bailey Hanks"
For some time after the anouncement was made tickets were still on sale thru Jan 4th - I don't know if that is still the case? Im going with Jan 4th
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
Upcoming shows... September 28th- XANADU Closing October 12th- [title of show] Closing October 18th- Legally Blonde Closing
LB is scheduled to close on the 19th.
Well done, Bailey. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.
Umm, yeah, no. Bailey has nothing to do with the show closing. If anything, she extended the run of the show beyond what its shelf-life would have been.

They still are, and I'm wondering if we might hear about an extension sometime in early October. Updated On: 9/24/08 at 06:08 PM

I went there because your posting absurd, and incorrect things here. Luckily, we know there wrong. I posted there because fans of the West End should know the truth.
Funny thing is, In Canada MuchMusic is just airing "Legally Blonde the Search for the Next Elle Woods". They are only on episode 5. The finale will probobly be shown just around the time the show closes!
Are cast usually given warning or do they find out like us? Because Autumns facebook seemed like she found out like the rest of the Broadway Community.
They damn well better let poor autumn on as elle at least once this month. This sucks majorly
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

I usually don't get upset of show closings but I am at this one. This show is my guilty pleasure. If I needed a good laugh or just a good time at the theatre I would go see LB. Well that said I got my ticket. Orch Row E 113.
I still don't get why adamgreer got Row O and I got mine at least 20 minutes after him.
Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!
