This was an interesting tweet. Is Toronto really the pre-Broadway engagement?

That's the first I've heard about it being a pre-Broadway run, but I'm also not surprised if that's the case.
Yes.
Ramin Karimloo was saying that it will transfer over to Broadway, but he will not be playing Jean Valjean

Nevermind, just read the edit above my post...

Some of my dream casting would be:
Brian d'Arcy James as Jean Valjean
Marc Kudisch as Javert
Sierra Boggess as Fantine
Aaron Tveit as Marius
Melissa O'Neil (from the Toronto revival) as Eponine
Erin Mackey as Cosette
"Ramin Karimloo was saying that it will transfer over to Broadway, but he will not be playing Jean Valjean"
Darn.
The only way he is doing it in Toronto is because Cameron specifically asked him anyway.

Thank god Ramin isn't playing Jean Valjean. I adore him but not as anyone but Enjolras in Les Mis. I'd like to see Alfie Boe return myself. Aaron would be a fabulous !arius in my opinion. He's much more suited to It than he was Enjolras.

Surprised that Varela won't be in it considering his was so well received by critics and
the audience.
Brian Stokes Mitchell would not surprise me as Javert nor would it surprise me if
Alfie Boe is Valjean.
One of the Valjean covers who was on tour will continue as a Valjean cover.
Brian Stokes Mitchell was rumored for Jean Valjean, not Javert...

Agree that Tveit would be a good Marius. Then who for Enjolras? My personal vote would be for the tour's E, Jason Forbach. I thought he was quite charismatic, had a very powerful voice, and excellent chemistry with the other rebels (all of them, not just his real life bf).

Would love to see Tveit as Marius, but I was also quite impressed with Devin Ilaw in the role on tour.
Just heard a *rumor* that Will Swenson has been offered Javert.
Alfie Boe has US tour dates booked from January 31 through March 9th.
His NY Town Hall concert is Feb 25. Les Mis previews start March 1 so
he's not a possibility. Did anyone see him at Joe's Pub Thursday?
Is Elena Roger still in NYC? I know most of you would disagree with me, but I would love to see her play Fantine!
Alfie Boe's concert at Joe's Pub was fantastic. And he did a stripped down acoustic version of Bring Him Home that was absolutely beautiful. I would love to see him in the revival.
"I can't picture Ramin Karimloo because he's too young, and too slight, physically. "
huh?? Too slight!?! He is around 6ft and muscled, he isnt too slight and didnt look it on stage. Certainly no different to many other Valjeans ive seen. Alfie Boe is smaller

Am I the only who's hoping for Ann Harada as Mme. Thenardier.
Probably.
Apparently changes are being put into the Toronto production (which began rehearsals on Monday and started staging today).

Is the Toronto production using the 25th anniversary staging or more of a traditional Les Mis staging?
