Norm Lewis?
They should bring back Kingsley leggs(I honestly thought that’s why he left little shop so he could do the tour) or Chris Sullivan. The idea they’d cast a star in the show doesn’t make sense to me they aren’t selling horribly

Billy Porter would be great. I also like the idea of Lillias White."
I'll mention it to Billy the next time I see him walking his dog in the neighborhood.
Heard a rumor that Amber Gray will return as Hermes after Macbeth wraps up in July.

Someone on Twitter hinted at Bernadette Peters, which is such a ridiculous and outlandish concept that I thought I might as well share it.
Can Hermes be gender swapped? Appears it can, but Hermes had relationships with females prior to this.

The rumor I've heard is that the producers are actively courting Johnny Depp for a role in this production. They feel his trial has once again made him a household name and they want to capitalize on it.

Has Dollypop recently turned their account over to a 14 year old? All their posts lately have just made me say “…what?”

And that happens all the time. My point is that can Hermes, a.male Greek God, be played by a female?

Yes, we understood the question the first time, and we deemed it ridiculous.

I get it. so every role on Broadway should be allowed to be played by any gender and nobody should question it?

They’re mythical figures. They weren’t real. Is anyone home? Hello???

Found this rather quickly on here, apparently there's quite a few examples of genderbending different Broadway characters. A more recent example includes Company with Bobbie.

At the end of the day it should matter more that the actor is able to bring their character to life, regardless of their gender (or abscene of gender).

You know Hermes is not a real person right? If they were it might be different. But even then, yeah, I’m open to changing up the gender if it brings and interesting take to the role. He’ll, I thought Grace McClean did a great job in her role in Suffs…you know she played a real, male historical figure right?

My guess is Viola Davis. And if they can't get her, then the next greatest Black Actress of all time....Mo'Nique.
