Does anyone know if there's a limit on how many performances a member can attend at the member price? I know it's one ticket per member per performance, but does that mean that I would have to pay full price the next time I attend?
I tried to call and ask, but was on hold too long and gave up. Thanks!"
LCT’s website says that membership is currently closed to new enrollment. If you’re not currently a member, you can sign up to be notified when a new membership enrollment period begins.
To answer your question, in case you do manage to become a member: It’s one ticket per member per production, not per performance, so yes, you would have to pay full price if you went back again. In the past, there have been exceptions to this if a show runs a long time, so I was able to go back for second performances of South Pacific, The King and I, and My Fair Lady at the member price, but that only happens at the end of a long run.

I have a question regarding LincTix: Hypothetically speaking, could I use my membership (I'm 29 this month, just signed up) to purchase the 2 ticket limit, and add on a third at full price, with the 3 seats together? (The other 2 people would be out of the age limit, but the transaction would be under my name/account)."
When you buy LincTix the interface only lets you purchase a certain selection of tickets available for LincTix (it goes through Telecharge but isn't on the regular Telecharge website) so you'd have to purchase the third ticket separately on the regular Telecharge site

Yes, it's all I can think about right now. Lincoln Center adores Jordan, so that should be up next after Ragtime! :) And Jordan always had excellent attendance with the exception of Camelot due to the slope of the stage, which created major back problems for him. I saw him at The Muny last year and he sounded stunning."
Josh Groban before Jordan.

Thanks for the info! I didn't know about the specific enrollment period -- I assume I'm out of luck to become one before Ragtime tickets go on sale.

Don’t they both read too young?

I think I know the answer to this, but can those with lapsed memberships still renew?

Is it possible to purchase that third ticket next to the other two, or are the linctix ones in other locations?

Did it expire recently, or a while ago? How many emails have they sent reminding you to renew? Did any say " this is your last chance to renew?"
Does LCT have Man of La Mancha on their season for spring?
No, but they should. And I'm never gonna get to see Marc Kudisch in "La Mancha", am I? :-(

Hoping for a new Sarah (Originally cast Joy Woods?) and Father (the weakest link). Nichelle Lewis was capable enough as Sarah but felt very young to Henry's Colehouse. He could be her Dad with a 20+ year age difference. Lewis and Woods are the same age. Woods reads older & has ability play older with her experience. More depthwith somedrama to thevoice, withless pop styling, could fit better opposite Henry's stellar vocals."
Interesting they've only announced the three leads. I'm also hoping for a different Sarah. I want it to be Joaquina. Shaina would be a big loss... I can't see anyone else making Emma Goldman work the way she did.

I wonder if the rumored London run of Gatsby would get in the way."
If Gatsby is indeed getting a new director and creative team (as rumored), it would be unwise to assume that anyone from the ART run would continue on.

Really, really hoping Shaina is still in. Suffs is my favorite show currently and I've been dying for her to be back on Broadway ever since it closed, and this would be perfect. (She has also said many times that Ragtime is her favorite show and made a huge impact on her).
Does anyone know how long Lincoln Center Theater memberships have been unavailable, or whether they will be available again soon? Is this something that happens on a regular basis?

Joaquina was just announced for a new musical this Fall at NYTW, so sadly she won’t be doing this one. :(

Just off the top of my head, Bonnie Mulligan would be fantastic.

This is a roundabout way of answering your question. Back in 1988, Lincoln Center Theater did a production of Waiting for Godot with Robin Williams and Steve Martin, directed by Mike Nichols. It was at the Newhouse, and it had a limited run (about two months).
At the time, LCT had more members than there were seats available for the production, so they had to do a lottery to determine which members could buy tickets, and that naturally infuriated people who had paid for memberships but were closed out of buying tickets. (I remember this because I was one of the lucky lottery winners; yes, I’m that old.)
I think that was when LCT instituted the policy of periodically closing membership enrollment when the number of members gets too high, to prevent a situation like the Godot ticket debacle from happening again. It happens from time to time, and membership always re-opens eventually, but it’s anyone’s guess when that will happen this time.

Also J. Harrison Ghee. Looks like I might need to leave a space open for this in November.

Ross recently made this comment on a post regarding Gatsby. Seems to imply he’s still involved.

Can anyone speak more to the, seemingly universal, feeling that Caissie is miscast? I've only seen her onstage once, when she was in Caroline and she was very good. Mother feels like a role that's very similar. Is there something else in the role she's not hitting. Is it the voice? Just interested because people seem genuinely disappointed she's continuing with the show.

I thought she was okay at City Center, and I'm curious to see how if she grows in the role by this fall. Mother is a role that requires a great deal of gravitas and dexterity, it has a really powerful arc and a knockout 11 o'clock number.
From what I've gathered and also seen/heard for myself, Caissie hasn't quite yet cracked the role on a dramatic level, and her voice is coming across a bit too contemporary for this material.

I’d also add that the role in Caroline Or Change was pretty low vibrational and overwhelmed which Levy does, to me, present pretty well.
I don’t think Mother is either of those things and it’s harder to go “up” than it is to go “down”.
Levy also drifts towards flat in a lot of her straight tone, which will overpower anything good up until that point.
I've never heard Levy be anything but pitch perfect.
