It's now official, Woods begins performances as Audrey on May 2. She'll play a limited run through the summer before The Notebook likely transfers to Broadway in the fall. 

I'm beyond thrilled for her. She was my first Catherine Parr in SIX and I ran into her outside of Ohio State Murders, she's so sweet.

A new block of tickets is also now on sale through January 5, 2025.

Before I book my next trip back to the Shop, I’m waiting for the announcement as to the official start date of the new Seymour. Hoping it’s Corbin.

How thrilling to finally have an Audrey that is woman of color. She is gorgeous and sounds beautiful!

Matt Doyle’s last performance will be July 16th (unless he extends). If the rumors are true that Corbin is the next Seymour, he will probably start late July or anytime in August.

I actually saw her as Audrey when she was the understudy. She was fine. Kinda bland. Nothing special about her performance. At least as the understudy.

I 100% agree it's great to finally have a black Audrey! However, Lena Hall is a WOC (her father is Filipino). Not to take anything away from Joy, I just think it's important not to erase someone's background just because they're light skinned.

I guess it’s possible that he could step in at some time in the fall. Summer Stock only runs through August. Maybe they’ll sign someone for 2-3 months after Doyle leaves.

We can effectively rule out Ricamora then, because he's working on Here Lies Love.

I'd like it to be Josh Daniel. Get another former understudy to lead this show alongside Joy.

Yeah, Conrad and Jonathan are ruled out with Here Lies Love and Merrily this fall. I'll be back in the city for HLL in August, so I'm curious to see who it will be and plan another return to Skid Row. I've only seen Conrad and Matt, so I'm excited to check out a new-to-me Seymour. 

I'd love a Gideon or Jeremy, too.
