So far so good, but I think Carrie could be a bit more believable with her acting.
What sexual tension?
Am I wrong that the third main nun there was Elena Shaddow?
I'm guessing that there are bunch of deep breaths being taken 'backstage' now that they've made it to the first commercial break.
I'm sure that will do much to calm nerves! I expect we'll see a more 'natural' performance from Carrie from here on out, as we've been seeing in the promos.
Shouldn't Stephen have fangs? He's handsome.
There is serious hissing in the background during the dialogue scenes.
Kristine Nielsen should have done her Maggie Smith.

I kind of miss the audience reactions - it's much harder to perform live theater in a vacuum.
Seriously love the sets!
(and I promise I won't post that again!)
Audra is just so unbelievably good. Of course her voice, I mean she squeezed so much subtext out of "My Favorite Things". I cannot wait for "Climb Ev'ry Mountain".
Well at least the actors playing the house staff seem to be aware that this is suppose to be 1938

Holy **** at the Von Trapp mansion set
Christiane Noll's nun is in love with Maria, isn't it obvious.
"Putting a funny hat on Audra doesn't make her a nun, nor a mother superior in the swiss alps . Did they hire a director for this farce? "
Um, you are a horrible racist. She is perfection. Your ridiculous statement says a lot about you much more than her. Go away. Yuck.
Just tuned in to watch on the site for a little bit. Carrie Underwood's acting is definitely lacking, and you can tell she's VERY nervous. LOVE LOVE LOVE the set.
Carrie's nervousness is making ME nervous. Ack.
Maria "Ray-ner..." Her "captains" were also funny. So stilted until the singing, which is a bit better.
Hahah! I can see the tension as well.
Friedrich is funny and a he looks like the child of a naval officer.

I LOVE how at ease she becomes when she has a song to sing!! I can literally the anxiety and nervousness just leave her for a little while. She is doing just fine so far though.

I wish they had been directed to face out more. It seems like some things are being directed too much upstage.

They are missing the manners of the period -- and Maria's inability to fit into those conventions -- which is where Sound of Music gets its charm
It seems to me she's getting more and more comfortable with each minute that goes by.
I don't know if she's a Maria, but push that braid back on her head a bit and we might have an Evita.

Carrie's out of breath. She's huffing on Do-Re-Mi
I agree with KathyNYC2, I thought there was going to be an audience. But I'm loving it
Reg for the win!
(and, poor dear - she seems to be getting more nervous... I keep hoping she'll just RELAX into it and enjoy it!)
