From the brief snippets that I saw, the show looks very lively. Which is a good thing, because both Sutton Foster and Leslie Odom Jr. put me to sleeeeeeeppppppppp!
(And I like both of them a lot.)

Really looking forward to Stephanie and Andrew! Totally agree that Sutton and particularly Leslie were dull but I cannot possibly imagine the next two being that way. I hope...
Sadly my local channel runs auctions all evening so the broadcast is at 4am. So I’ll catch it tomorrow!

I did not realize that her husband had such an awesome voice. I wish he would do an Encores show. Sometimes you can tell if a person is a singer by the way they speak and I always suspected he sang.......And by the by Stephanie is very friendly when she is out and about.....

I watched Stephanie J Block’s Live from Lincoln Center and thought she was outstanding. She’s an entertainer and knows how to catch the attention of her audience. Her show has a smooth transition while telling her life story. She had me rolling on the floor with SOME OF her STORIES. Id like to meet her mom. LOL

This was great.
Made me realize how much I'd love to see her in a big comic star turn. A Ruth in Wonderful Town kind of role.

He's also a regular on TV's Madam Secretary at this time.
Loved the concert in person and glad it held up for the broadcast. Loved it all over again.

Am just finishing it now. With the exception of Somewhere over the Rainbow I thought it was spectacular. Loved, loved, loved.
And the couple shots of Rannells and Uranowitz sitting together in the audience were sweet.

I thought she was just great! Her rendition of her spectacular song from FALSETTOS, “Im Breaking Down”, was especially wonderful.
I cant wait to see how she adapts her belting style to become Cher in The Cher Show this coming season! :)

This was far and away the best of the Live series this year. If this were the 1960s, Stephanie would be headlining her own variety series on TV.

I love her!!! She’s funny, charming and personable. And of course, that voice! She’s a belter. I thought she was fantastic. Easily the best of the 4. (I went to the AR show) I can’t wait to see her take on Cher.

TAG... Stephanie still has her power of “ Get out and Stayout” days. It’s just her concert choices weren’t meant for that anger emotion. Her “ I’ m Breaking Down” she tells the story and not just sing the notes. Did you read her facial expression as she sang ? I really think she’s very talented. At least IMHO. Tag, let’s see what she does with the Cher Show. It will come off very well...Stephanie has great comedic timing. Let’s face it Cher can be very funny and hopefully what you see as lacking power renews your faith in Stephanie.

I enjoyed it- She certainly has a powerhouse voice and is incredibly talented. I thought that in the beginning, her musings about the frustrations of her early days as a performer were a bit too frequent especially at the beginning of the show. I mean, she's performing at Lincoln Center, is about to star as Cher on Broadway, and has had a career that the majority of theatre actors in the world would kill for and she starts out the show talking about the rough spots in her career? For the record, I definitely think she's been under-appreciated by the Broadway community and has not gotten the blockbuster star vehicle that she deserves, but in this prestigious setting, her constant emphasis on those facts in the beginning of the show turned me off even though it was used largely to comic effect.
I thought that she was terrific vocally throughout though and I hope to see her kill it as Cher in the Fall.
