They actually just did a discussion on the announcement on our local Denver NBC afternoon News "Kitchen Table Talk" about half an hour ago.
One of the anchors is a huge Broadway fan. The two anchors pretty much had some of the same thoughts that are being shared here. On both sides.
Just read that there will be "nods" to her music added to the show.

Those aren't bad, much better than the 250$ I almost spent for the last row at MCR Nashville. Dynamic pricing is still of the devil and we should eat the people who invented it."
prices are going up already. $121 for rear mezz., $166+ for rear orch. $400 for tables seats
Her debut night has tickets at $188 and up. $556 for table seats.

Why would she even want to go into this show? Wouldn’t she rather create a role in a new show, or step into an actually good diva role?? This is so random to me

It’s an introduction to Broadway or a musical I guess it’s like when people go into little shop etc agree it’s so random
it seems she’s not even selling

How are they gonna work WAP into the finale megamix?
Just to go back to current casting, I feel like I haven't seen a lot about Bob as Zidler, and I was looking to see him before he leaves.

This thread is ridiculous. She absolutely IS selling well. Dynamic pricing is in effect on the site - prices increased significantly yesterday throughout the day.
And as for Merkin , what in the world will it take for the mods to ban this troll for once and for all?

All I can say is, it got me to buy a ticket for the first time since 2022! Absolutely love her in D*CKS! The Musical.
Anyone know how long Christian Douglas is scheduled to be in the show?

Kinda funny that they just DID delete any posts that were calling out Flash/Merkin/EnsembleWhatever for "trolling" in this thread. Just like this one will deleted in 3...2...

While they might not have Meghan do WAP in the finale, what are the odds they have her do the Lil Kim rap in Lady Marmalade? I think it would be amazing!

Sarah Bowden will temporarily return to the musical as Nini from March 11 - May 3.
Samantha Dodemaide will rejoin the Broadway company afterwards.

Dodemaide has been out so much since October. I know she had an injury, but the two Nini covers are always on.

Almost two months made me think Ms Dodemaide had a regional show happening. But if she’s been injured, maybe it’s for a surgery.
Nice for Sarah to add the Broadway role to her resume as first cast. She played it on the tour and then covered on Broadway, now it’s hers for a while.

Who's catching Megan as Zidler this evening, alongside fellow Texan beauty Kelsie Watts as Satine?

I’m genuinely asking!
If anyone is curious, in July of 2020 Megan, “suffered multiple gunshot wounds.”

I would imagine considering there's been literally thousands of working actors on Broadway over the past 100 years, No. And just and incredibly stupid thing to bring up as if it has any relevance?

I get what you’re saying, but the question wasn’t meant to be dismissive or “irrelevant.” It’s more about curiosity around how far medical treatment and recovery have come. Someone like Megan Thee Stallion being able to go from a traumatic injury like a gunshot wound to performing at a high level on Broadway actually says a lot about modern medicine, rehabilitation, and resilience.
Broadway is physically demanding, and historically, injuries like that could have ended a performer’s career entirely. So the point isn’t that she’s the only one or even definitively the first, it’s that it’s notable and worth talking about how people are able to recover and return to elite performance spaces. It’s less about trivia and more about recognizing how recovery and opportunity have evolved.
