I know Brady tends to get a pass on his attendance for some reason, but he's scheduled to be outuntil next Sunday again. I know he has a busy schedule, but he tends to always have a ton of pre scheduled absences anytime he books a Broadway show."
Brady has been out this entire week so far, including for both shows today. Let's see if he shows up for his final performance tomorrow."
Narrator: "He did indeed show up."
Someone on Reddit reported that Brady injured his leg over a week ago and only returned for his final performance with a modified staging.

Ricky Rojas returns as Santiago on January 27, following Pepe Muñoz's departure on January 25.

I wish Nick Rashad Burroughs had the opportunity to join the Broadway company as Toulouse Lautrec. I saw him on tour in 2023 and he was excellent in the role.

Anyone going tonight to Bob's Zidler debut?

Looks like they've shoehorned Bob's song "Purse First" into the pre-"Galop Infernal" section of "More More More!":

Rumor from Reddit (I know), the ticket concierge clickbox on the moulin rouge website says Megan thee Stallion will be on as Zidler (?) from March 24th until mid May. Huge if true. I'm on mobile but took the screenshot for myself

If anyone’s still wondering about David Harris’ exit from Old Friends in 2025, a joke I saw him write on someone else’s Instagram post makes it sound like he was fired.

Megan Thee Stallion just confirmed as the next Zidler, March 24 - May 17, via the show's social media handles! This is exciting casting.
FYI, she will not be doing either show on May 2.

Stallion is the first woman to play the role, who will only be referred to as "Zidler" instead of "Harold Zidler" throughout her run.

Holy SH*T. I told myself I was good on MOULIN ROUGE the last time I saw it, but they got me good with this casting. Tickets: secured.

It is, but I really don’t know what to make of this.
Obviously she can sing and has some acting experience, but it really seems like an odd choice of casting. I don’t think I’ve seen more of a “death rattle” level of stunt casting in quite some time. I’ll probably buy a ticket just to have it and toss it if she doesn’t pan out.
The fact that the history of this role includes Danny Burstein, Boy George, Tituss Burgess, Bob The Drag Queen, and now Megan Thee Stallion is actually kind of wild when you think about it.

The inference of Death Rattle for the show. As in, they are closing and so they’re just getting whoever they can so they can fill their coffers before it ends.

I understand, but this isn’t “whoever they can” get. This isn’t some random TikTokker or Real Housewife. It’s Megan Thee f*cking Stallion.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was just the first of big names being slotted into the show for 6-8 week runs before it ends.

I underestimated your game, Moulin Rouge.
I genuinely thought it'd be Weird Al, with his tour schedule starting AFTER that time, but I have been overtly humbled.
Take all that money and run, Moulin Rouge. You've outdid yourselves.

I’d say it’s less “death rattle” and more “go out with a bang.” She is a MASSIVE get for any Broadway show, period, let alone one in the final months of a long run.

I had the same thought, especially with Meg Donnelly's replacement only coming in for a short stint, lining up exactly with Megan Thee Stallion's first performance date.

For anyone doubting Megan's singing voice, fast-forward to the 2:25 mark of "Beautiful Mistakes," in which she collaborated with Maroon 5. (As this is pop music, there is Auto-Tune of course, but still a very pleasant surprise.)

Actually, we don’t know if she can sing, but I love her so I’m intrigued!!
