LittleSally - I believe the resturant you are talking about is called Azul...It looks really cute but just up the street on 51st and Broadway is Ellen's Stardust Diner...Its my favorite place to eat in the city...And its just about a minute away from Wicked!
**I saw Lisa on Sunday and she was amazing...I was disappointed that Stephanie was out but I quickly got over that after Lisa sang the Wizard and I! :)**
Grrek, Have a good time at the show today. I got to see Lisa on Saturday and she's AMAZING!!!!. When I heard that Steph was out for some shows(Not that I ever want Steph hurt or sick) I splurged on a ticket just to see Lisa(I have seen Steph 6 times..LOL). If you get u/s Chelsea she's great too(as are the ladies that s/b and understudy Annaleigh as G(a)linda) even though I never got to see her but I did hear her. I'm going to the show on Sunday again(I got the ticket because it was originally Annaleigh's last show)
Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!
I saw Lisa yesterday as well. I was so disappointed that Stephanie wasn't there, I fell in love with her performance in Feb and was taking my mother and son to see it. However, like everyone said, Lisa was truly wonderful. I saw her in Aida as well and she was great.
I have to say that G(a)linda was good but still she was no Megan Hilty. Whom I adore!
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
I hope SJB recoversd quickly and fully and Lisa deserves a shot. She is great

I was also slightly disappointed when I saw Stephanie wouldn't be there when I saw Wicked last month. But I've heard nothing but positive things about Lisa, so that disappointment lasted two seconds.
Excuse my cluelessness, but what is the Wicked "walk on" Stephanie referenced in her note?

Saw Lisa last night--had some really nice quiet moments, her acting was pretty great, No Good Deed was good....but her belt? I wasn't a fan. Defying Gravity was really, really weak. I saw Menzel back in '04 and I have to say....she's been my favorite Elphaba. And I'm not one of those Menzel freaks--she just brought something special to the role. Was bummed I didn't see Block but Annaleigh Ashford made up for it! And how gay is David Burnham? HORRIBLE Fiyero!

Urban I would think so- SJB's last day of wicked isn't til mid june ish, so she will most likely be back on her feet by then esp if she is trying hard core to get back like she says. I don't see why she wouldn't still be doing 9 to 5
I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion but David as Fiyero? Come on. First of all, his singing was mediocre at best. The beginning of "Dancing Through Life" was painful. He was a poor actor and gave blank stares and goofy looks at the other people on stage--though not on purpose. I swear at one point during "As Long As You're Mine" he took Elphaba's hand and put it to his face like a cat would when cleaning itself. He was the least masculine of every Fiyero I've seen and had no stage presence. I say give the guy who played Chistery the role--he was hot stuff!

I have to completely disagree with you- but it's your opinion, I think his voice is beautiful and dancing through life was fantastic when I saw it. His interaction with SJB was intimate and romantic in ALAYM and I had absolutely no complaints about him as Fiyero.
I know I'm in the minority but I definitely agree with you shh282. The chemistry during ALAYM when I saw it was off the chart. It was hot and there voices sounded great together! Updated On: 4/17/08 at 12:44 PM
I saw David in Piazza, and he was dreamy and romantic and sexy. The women in the audience didn't seem to have any problem with him. Not sure why you do, but to ask that rhetorical question in that manner on a public forum seems bitchy, at the least, and possibly indicative of your own self-loathing.
As a gay man, all I'm saying is that I'd prefer it if my Fiyero was a little straighter than the way David Burnham played it. That's it.
It'd be nice if he could act, but that's not really required for that part otherwise he would not be there.

As a straight girl, I found his Fiyero pretty heterosexual, especially his interaction with AA and more specifically SJB and I thought his acting was fine and his singing was even better.
Exactly. A straight girl. Your gaydar isn't up to par. We can spot our own like THAT.

Millie - During the Flea Market and Grand Auction in September there was a walk-on role in Wicked auctioned off. I'm assuming the person who won it has it set up soon and Steph potentially may not make it with her sprained ankle.

Rentheadut--as a gay man myself I just want to say that I find your posts loathsome and despicable. You must have a incredible amount of self-loathing and cowardice to come onto an anonymous message board and say those things as a putdown. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
