Oh, don't get me wrong, I wish Trump chose from at least a couple thousand other options for VP. Pence's LGBT views are among of the most horrifically and woefully misdated in modern politics. But still... I take issue with anybody having the privilege of sitting in a Broadway theatre and not being able to fully soak up the experience.

Even when they are such a threat to one of the communities primarily responsible for building the Broadway theatre? Not in my book.
That's fair, guys. I still stand by my "everybody should be able to peacefully go to the theatre" remark, but I completely understand why Pence may be seen as an exception to the rule.
I thought the same thing about Javi, too. Also, wouldn't he have had to listen to a BC/EFA speech at the end of the show?
Mike Pence also believes that assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS should come with the stipulation that they undergoe conversion therapy. Yeah, so sad his evening of theatre was interrupted.
In reply to Bway Concierge, I agree folks should be allowed to see a show in peace...but what has this dirtbag done to let folks live their lives in peace. He made women who lost their pregnancy either by choice or miscarriage to bury the fetus. He opposes the gay lifestyle. I can go on, but why bother.
I would give odds that he never read the book; knows nothing about the music; hates hip/hop; etc. If you walk into a storm, expect the worst....he got what he deserved....
Can you imagine what the actors must feel like to perform this show for him? I would think, and hope, EMPOWERED that they get an opportunity to throw this show in his face.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

No. You don't deserve respect if you want to find conversion therapy (read: torture) for gay kids, deny women life-saving health care, and are willing to work for a president and for an administration that wants to employ racists, anti-Semites, and Islamophobes. If VP-elect Pence wants to enjoy a show in peace, he can start by not endangering the lives of countless people, including nearly all of those on stage working their tails off to entertain his sorry behind. Until then, he deserves to be booed as much as possible.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
