Mame. Title song. Listen to a soprano in the chorus take a very obvious catch breath at the end.
Justice -
While she says If I ax to leave...
She is really saying "If I aks to leave" (that's a stereotype of black people often made fun of - not to sound racist)
There is another one in Urinetown, I swear it sounds like someone says "play ball" after the laughter in the cop song

Regarding the cell phone ring during "Popular": I heard it, but it happens again right along with the music, so I think it is just some percussion that sounds like a cell.

Whoo! Just read the entire thread to see if anyone posted this... In the most recent Little Shop recording in The Meek Shall Inherit, just after the first chorus, and before 'You own TV show!', whoever it is that sings that line swallows, and starts singing as she is finishing swallowing. That sounds sort of dirty, sorry.

I believe that is Trisha Jeffrey... or Carla J. Hargrove... or DeQuina Moore. Oh, I can't tell.
I don't really hear it.

Jash, it's obviously one of them. Hehe! I can't really tell them apart even on stage, but oh well. And, if you listen to it a normal volume you can totally hear it! She makes this little guhTT noise. Like, how can I explain it.. Okay!put your tongue against the back of your teeth and pull it away kind of fast? Lol.
I just started reading this, and OH GOD! I'm so glad someone mentioned that woman that's off-key in the Wicked Finale! I thought I was going crazy or something. Ugh. That just wrecked my entire...emotion...thingy.

I could tell them apart on stage; I just can't remember who sings what lines.

When you're legally blind it's a little hard to tell who is who. I mean, I can always pick out the mains, and even others, but they were always moving and in a group, so. ;P

Don't be sorry! Hehe.
See, I think you hear it on the right headphone (?)...I know KC is singing different than everyone...
REVIVAL CAST -(stokes mitchell and mazzie)-KISS ME KATE
-BIANCA-
A woman starts to sing "PACKAGE", Clearly stepping on a male's solo, she then picks up with "PACKAGE" when the rest of the ensemble joins in
There are mistakes on cast recordings and then there are casts who are a mistake to record!

A few more...
WEST SIDE STORY - in teh ballet just before the soloist sings "There's a place for us.." there is an audible click.
GYPSY - not a mistake but the actor playing Rose's father was not called to the session because he didn't sing, so Sondheim dubbed in the lne "You ain't getting 88 cents from me Rose." 2 problems: Sondheim sounds way to young to be Ethel Merman's father and he puts the emphasis on ME insetead of CENTS. (The line should be "You ain't getting 88 CENTS from me, Rose!)
HELLO DOLLY - Channing cleasr her throat during teh final just before singing "Here's My Hat, Horace."
FOLLIES IN CONCERT - IN "The Road You Didn't take" they obviously cross-fade from one take to another and you can hear a double image of George Hearn's voice.
SWEENEY TODD - done on purpose but there is an extra killing on the record that doesn't actually happen in the show. can yu spot it?
There are also different takes usd on the Cd's of GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES, DAMN YANKEES!, MISS LIBERTY, OVER HERE! among others.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
On the Westside Story OBC (or at least, what I think is the OBC) in the beginning of the Tonight quintet, the Jets sing "the Jets are gonna have their day tonight," but one Jet sings "the Jets are gonna have their way tonight"
On the London Concert Recording of Mack and Mabel (GREAT recording, btw, highly recommended), Debbie Shapiro, while belting the hell out of "Wherever He Ain't", forgets which verse she's singing, and sings the lyrics to the second verse during the first verse.
Well, I guess this isn't TECHNICALLY a mistake, but Elaine Stritch at the end of the opening number in Company WAILING off key . . . . but it was probably that way ever night on stage. LOL

On the OCR of "Barnum", Glenn Close botches a lyric during "One Brick at a Time". It's after the chorus has joined her, but she starts to sing a different verse, then bails.
So glad someone mentioned that Debbie Shapiro one from "Mack and Mabel".
I just listen the the one in Hello Dolly! and the one in RENT by Idina in the finale.....was that really a mistake?????? I'm going to listen for the one in Ragtime next........
Don't know if this has been mentioned but, Sherie Rene Scott sings "Whether with a thousand players..." intead of "prayers", which is what the lyrics book says. [Every Story is a Love Story - OBC Aida]
on the Revival of Nine if you listen with the volume really loud at the end of "Call From the Vatican" you hear someone say, i think it is jane krakowski saying "Sorry the walls shut" reffering to her recording booth i would imagine
