Aigoo -
I am pretty sure it's "players," cause the next line is "a lonely cast of one".....you see?
I just started reading this, and OH GOD! I'm so glad someone mentioned that woman that's off-key in the Wicked Finale! I thought I was going crazy or something. Ugh. That just wrecked my entire...emotion...thingy.
That was me!

On the OLC of Chicago during "Cell Block Tango", Ute Lemper rearranges the order of her 20 acrobatic tricks. Barely a blunder, but I noticed it. I think she messes up another time but I can't recall where...

I too have a "mother calling me" blip on a CD
There's a part right before the snap section during the dance break of "Snuff That Girl" from Urinetown where I SWEAR it sounds like my mom calling me
It's really freaky

Posted: 10/1/06 at 7:09pmOn The Sweet Charity Revival Recording during the song "Bravest Individual" at about 0:27 on the line "I'm trapped like a butterfly in a nest" instead you can hear a faint voice say "I'm trapped UP like a butterfly in a nest"

Not sure if its been said, but I think its a mistake...
On every song on the Wicked OBCR you can hear Idina taking her realy loud and obnoxious breaths. Especially Defying Gravity.

Ok, as far as the My Fair Lady thing, yeah its weird, I know, I was in that show this summer and it bothered me too, but it is correct. He's responding to the servants shocked reactions.
Second, this is just a question, its proably just something in the show, but . . . What is that wierd noise that sounds like a chicken squak in Popular?!? Right after "your new found popularity." I am not making a snide remark or anything, I honestly don't know what it is. I figured because no one mentioned it here, its just something from the show I don't know.
EDIT: Ok, on the Once Upon A Mattress OCR, in the finale, when the king says "And I've got a lot to say." It sounds like a completely different voice than the next few lines. Makes no sense!

Posted: 10/2/06 at 9:06pmOn the rare "A Dolls Life" recording, the finale "Can You Hear Me Now?" Betsy hits a half step low on the last note (when she joins in with the female chorus) and then moves up to the normal. I like it better that way, but it's wrong.

Posted: 10/3/06 at 1:11pmI can hear my mother calling me during "Btrayed" on The Producers OCR... wait a minute... my name's not Alvin! That's not my life!

And I thought it was only me....
I was home alone, listening to the theme from the Twilight Zone, when I heard someone call my name. Talk about freaky!

Not mistakes just funny things you hear when you listen to CDs in silent rooms:
-The Light in the Piazza:
*During PASSEGATIA, after Fabrizio says "your milk, your milk is..eh" When Clara says "My milk is what..." You can hear someone giggle.
*During DIVIDING DAY you can hear the Bassoon soloist take an audible breath going into the next phrase. Kind of creepy. Sounds like he's in the room.
-The Civil War
*At the very end of THE GLORY, you can hear someone drop something, possibly drumsitcks in the immediate silence afterwards.

Posted: 10/3/06 at 10:25pmAt the very end of The Last Goodbye on the Spelling Bee recording, after the "Goodbye!" "See you later!" ect... parts, you can hear Jesse go "Okay, that's me. Wait, how do I turn this off?"
re: Mistakes on cast recordings...#189
Posted: 10/6/06 at 5:58pmAhahah I just listened to that and totally noticed it! It's really noticeable, also.

There's a clap or something in the middle of Beth Leavel's last note in "As We Stumble Along" on the Drowsy OBCR.
I could swear there's a cell phone ring near the end of "Cry For Me" on the Jersey Boys OBCR (Daniel's last big CRYYYYYYYYYYY).

On the Into the Woods OBCR during On the Steps of the Palace, you can hear a clap after "Better run along home."
There's also a cough during Robert Westenberg's first "AAAAAGONY!!!" and a page turn during "There's a dwarf standing guard," during the Agony reprise.

I didn't see this one...
In the OBCR of PETER PAN one of the lost boys start to sing "And make me!" along with Mary Martin in the song "I Won't Grow Up".
re: Mistakes on cast recordings...#195
Posted: 12/3/06 at 4:57pmI don't know if its a mistake or a lyric change, but the OBC of Company, during "Getting Married Today" she starts of the song with "Pardon me is everybody HERE" instead of there.

I've ALWAYS noticed that West Side Story movie thing in "Tonight" and it drove me nuts.
VonTussleGirl: That is, like, the greatest thing ever. I had to turn up my volume to hear it.
Anyway, the only thing I have to contribute isn't a cast recording: in David Burnham and Elena Shaddow's performance of "All I Ask of You," Elena gets one of the lines wrong (she repeats "Say you'll love me every waking moment" when she should be singing "Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime.")

Blehhh, my "mum calling me" song is 'This Waiting Heart' by Chris DeBurgh. How come I don't get a cool musical theatre song like you guys? ;_;
RENT OBCR, La Vie Boheme B, Angel sings "rhythm, feeling, power, harmony and heavy competition", but whenever I've seen it on stage (and I think in the movie), it's "rhythm, power, feeling, harmony and heavy competition". But because I'm so used to my recording, it sounds über-weird to me when I hear it the right way round. XD
Also, Idina's giggle: I concur that it's meant to be there as a kind of relieved thing. But I guess we already concluded that mooooonths ago. XD

Posted: 12/4/06 at 3:14pmEarlier - someone mentioned the Little Shop of Horrors Revival recording of Don't Feed the Plants. I've heard the same line, though I assumed it was saying "No more tomorrows" but in either case, the line is a reference to the song that was written for the show, demoed, and cut called "We'll Have Tomorrow" - a duet between Audrey and Seymour, and both Audrey and Seymour sing this line in that recording. I figured it was just a reference back to that song. The demo is one of the bonus tracks on the Revival CD.

Posted: 1/4/07 at 6:54pmOn MAMA I'M A BIG GIRL NOW, on HAIRSPRAY's OCR, in the beginning when the mother's are saying "STOP", someone says "DON'T" I believe it's Harvey. Not sure. Noticed this one the bus the other day while listening to it on my IPOD.
