I have a real "thing" about voices. Most of the people mentioned are great singers but for me Norbert has the whole package. His speaking voice has such texture. I could listen too him all day & never get bored.( The British actor Roy Marsden had the same effect on me too)

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

Emily Skinner was the first person that came to my mind...although I would also have to say Alice Ripley, Hugh Panero, and Louise Pitre among the regulars that have been suggested (Idina, Sutton, Kristin, Bernadette)
if you think audra can't sing in a happy manner, then you've NEVER seen the Broadway Leading Ladies DVD...when she sings Down With Love! amazing arrangement.
"Be not like dumb, driven cattle. Be a hero in the strife." A Psalm of Life...Walt Whitman
I agree with a whole bunch of these, but I can't believe more people haven't said Max Von Essen. His Being Alive gives me chills from the sheer emotion that just keeps building as the song goes on. And when he sang "O Holy Night" with Julia Murney; that was the most emotion that has probably ever been put into that song. Oh, there's another one! Julia Murney. "Maybe I Like It This Way" anyone?
Adam Pascal - sexy beautiful raspiness, perfect for Roger and a very cool interesting choice for Radames
Brian Stokes Mitchell- is my absolute favorite voice ever on broadway..im obsessed with the man of la mancha soundtrack because of it..i mean..come on.."Dulcinea"..how beautiful is that!
Hugh Panaro- just saw him on broadway in poto a month or two ago and absolutely adored his voice, especially in the all i ask of you reprise
"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living
piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character
and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and
incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness.
Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish
it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a
rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the
real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get
along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small
unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings.
Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end.
But end it does. Another part of you vanishes.
That's show business."-Anonymous
