Due to my husband's work schedule, the only night of the week that works for us is Saturday. I was looking for first row front mezz, which is considered premium seating. Fine. I've shelled out for premium seats in the past for many shows, including Dolly and The Cher Show, which we'reseeing Saturday night. But I refuse to pay over $800 for a pair of tickets for a show with no big names and mixed out-of-town reviews. My loss, I suppose. But I'll get over it. And have $800 to spare and spend elsewhere."
I’m sure there will be a discount eventually. I don’t think this is going to be the Blockbuster box off jaugurant they’re expecting it to be.

I see everything I want- from Hamilton with Lin- to Bette with Dolly- and everything in between- always in great orchestra seats- I am retired and do have some funds that I use for Broadway- my passion since I was a kid. I never miss a show I want to see- and do not mind paying premium when I have to- but I am not paying 800 plus fees to see Moulin Rouge. I am going to miss it if the prices do not come down- and Ticketmaster now does not have a map so you can pick out the seats you want- they are a despicable company and I hate dealing with them. And they are taking over the industry bit by bit- now in Las Vegas they have taken over AXS- which used to be a great ticket seller- and Gaga tickets cost 800 and up for one seat because of their resale policy- which should be against the law. Anyway, just not gonna do it.

Moulin Rouge is to support King Kong so that’s why prices are probably higher. Jokes

Actually, they still do. You have to choose the view map option on the screen. They probably do the list thing now as well for those who just want the cheapest seats without caring where they are.

BWAY Baby2, if it won't give you the map option just change the web address so it reads "www1." (remove the quotations) and refresh. It should then pop up.

Gosh- I might be a bit thick when it comes to technology- but I do tend to learn fast. I typed in www1- like you told me- but still no seat map- they had find seats- but no map popped up- maybe I am doing something wrong- I would really love to figure this out. Thank you so much for your help. Really do appreciate it. Sorry I am such a dunce when it comes to navigating the Ticketmaster site.

^ ^ ^ I was able to see the seat map on my iPhone but not on my iPad, where the latter never even gave me an option to view it, instead just laying out seat availability.
Just out of curiosity, what device are you using to bring up Ticketmaster?

Mac book Air - just scored tickets to Ever After in Atlanta- so I am happy for now. Not gonna stress about Moulin Rouge. Just too much hassle.
New block of tickets go on sale today through Feb. 02, 2020.
I plan on buying a ticket for the summer sometime soon, but can't decide between center mezz, or orchestra seats. Any thoughts?

Id go Center Mezz for this show and theatre to be honest. Pretty close to the stage, never had a bad view from there for Kinky Boots and fine legroom. This show is also just a spectacle that I believe the Mezz will give you the best view for everything. The overhang here is real though, and the stage goes out into the audience a little bit, so not sure how that will affect your view from the mezzanine or orchestra. I personally got Mezz left for this show.

I'm with Mike Barrett, go for Center Mezz. I saw the Boston run and there is so much to take in (assuming a similar setup) that it's better from further back, and this theatre is much smaller than the Colonial.

Were Hamilton prices even this steep right out of the gate? I thought they went up after opening.

Update: Since the new block of tickets went on sale I was curious about the prices. On Halloween, the prices for the back of the mezz (row H onward) is either $139 or lower, with the lowest price at $99. Just something to check out :)
Yes, Ham tix were high right out of the gate - they just kept getting higher in that first year.
I've not yet gotten MR tix - because of the price, but I know I will break down and do it.

I'm pretty sure someone I know got their Hamilton tickets before it became as big as it was for...I want to say less than $150? What a wonderful time that was...

Did you see it in Boston? Did you like it? If so I hope you get to see it on Broadway! **
**I did not and based on ticket prices I doubt I will. I already splurged on Hadestown tickets.
I have no idea how they’re coming up with ticket prices for this production but a word to the wise:
It seems like, for whatever reason, the majority of seats are cheaper in August. I got front mezz, seat A1, which is usually a $349 or $399 seat, for $179. I’m not sure why they’re priced that way but even though I didn’t want to pay that much, I jumped on it.

Not sure if you just commented without reading other comments but I literally posted about how on Halloween there are less expensive tickets. Just saying.

I was adding to your post because even on Halloween, there are many seats that are listed as premium that aren’t on dates in August, so I was trying to be helpful to people saying that they weren’t getting tickets because they weren’t spending $300 on a ticket.
PS - get your typical BWW sass outta here.
